Description

The Smart Cooker app works with Instant Pot Smart smartcooker. It allows you controlling and monitoring the cooker wirelessly via Bluetooth connection. The app comes with a collection of recipes covering a large variety of food materials, cuisines and techniques. The recipes include traditional ones such as “New England Clam Chowder” and “Classic Mashed Potatoes” as well as intriguing ones such as “Onsen Tamago: Hot Spring egg (sous vide egg)” and “GABA Rice: Germinated Brown Rice”.

If you want to exercise your culinary creativity, you can also write recipe scripts using the 6 provided commands which include maintaining a temperature or pressure for a period, heating to a specified temperature or pressure, etc. The possibility of cooking style is unlimited. Once your recipe script is tested and proven, you can share it with friends who can reproduce exactly the same cooking procedure on their Instant Pot Smart.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Cannot connect via Bluetooth
1 ★Recipe collection is pathetic
2 ★C'mon Instant Pot... You can do better than this.
1 ★Doesn't work at all. Great work team!
4 ★It works on Android 6 but not 7. On 7, the UI got cut off when you try to adjust time or temperature. Edit on 11/28: It works on Android 7 now. It would be better if the import and export recipe feature can be easier to use.
1 ★I was going to buy the cooker until I came here to look at the application. The reviews here shows the frustration and disappointment of owners. The product seems to be at an amateur experimental level. Who has time to monkey with a Bluetooth connectivity. It should be a WIFI afterall if you ask me. The rating is D as far as I see it instead of A plus. Therefore this product belong to D pricing category not A plus. Going with Breville multicooker.
1 ★App tries to show the actual recipe from a nonexistent mount, not where my sdcard actually is.
1 ★The app comes with a lot of recipes which crowd the ones I create. There should be a way to delete the recipes that are not needed, even the inbuilt ones. Also, the allowed temperature ranges for the "hold to temperature" function is too low. There is no official way to export/import data. So if you change phones of reset your phone, all the scripts and logs are gone. On my phone, the recipe details are stored in /sdcard/SmartCooker and the cooking logs are stored in an Sqlite3 database in /data/data/com.instantpot.smartcooker/databases/cookbook.db. They should disclose/document the BLE API so that other people can make much better apps and automation. At the very least, they should release the sources of the android app, so that the API can be reverse engineered.
2 ★It's basically a connectivity issue. My S6 Edge will only connect with the Instant Pot when it has just been installed(within about 5 minutes of installation). After that, it will no longer connect, unless I uninstall and reinstall. When it's connected, it works great.
1 ★I spent the extra money and bought the instant pot smart for the blue tooth capability however it has never worked. We've tried it across several android tablets and phones but can never get it to pair. Apparently they only like Apple users which is a bunch of crap!! So if you have android DO NOT spend the extra money just get the cheap base model as that's what I basically have now.
1 ★Devs blame android 6.0 for bt bug but all my other devices work just fine. Also, store page does not mention 6.0 is not supported. It should.
1 ★Title says it all. Won't connect with my phone. Says hold adjust button for three seconds, but nothing ever happens. Yuck.
