０８年に自費出版された彼の体験記は、カンボジアという国に出会い、愛とか平和とかはよく分からないけれど、“みんなが笑顔になれると自分も幸せだ”と気付いた大学生の真っすぐな気持ちが書かれ、それが読者の心にストレートに届いて、ネットなどで大反響を呼んだ。
