A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Far too simple compared with others with very limited features in the app. Used Ring before, which gives much greater flexibility and we may well go back to it. Developers - could you please add the ability to set an automatic schedule on and off? This would be so useful. Is there any way of contacting Risco to provide feedback other than here? It's ages since I wrote this review and there doesn't appear to have been any development. Will the app get any investment or development?
5 ★My company (Wm Bradley & Co Ltd) has installed many Lightsys 2 and Lightsys+ alarm systems (we currently maintain over 300 systems using the FreeControl app) and we haven't had any complaints about the app itself. We have found it to strike a perfect balance between being user friendly and feature-rich. I can only assume the negative reviews on here relate to issues with poorly or incorectly installed systems, not the FreeControl app.
1 ★This is about as useless as an app can be!!! We are with Blue Security and they use this ridiculously on off on off app!!!! It is sooo inconvenient to come home late at night and not be able to disarm your home because, yet again, the app is off-line. Although it goes on and off, it seems to be off-line more than it is on-line. This happens several times every single day!!! I am sick of it!!! And if Blue Security don't do something about it, we will leave them!
1 ★The only positive is you can (usually) set and unset your alarm. But the app is sooo dated, slow, unresponsive and has childlike UI. And you have to pay an annual fee for the privilege of using it, which is pretty insulting. Surely Risco have the resources to rewrite this awful app and bring it somewhere up to modern standards? When compared to, say, the Ajax app, you have to laugh. Or cry. This alone is a reason not to buy an alarm by Risco; they take your money and laugh.
1 ★Probably the slowest app I've ever had over the past 20 years .. bloody awful.
1 ★Basically subscribe to a pretty basic app that was free, or ditch your alarm. Wish we'd never installed the alarm in the first place. Avoid Risco.
1 ★Called to ask about one of the cameras not connected to the network. I was basically told it isn't an emergency and it can wait till tomorrow. Also, it keeps losing connection. No keyfob, no panic button 🤷🏻♀️ I'll definitely be changing once the contract is up
1 ★It only works in portrait mode
3 ★My app has stopped working. Connection error. Panel rejected since another session is open. How do I fix this
1 ★Does the job of arming/disarming but now you have to pay a yearly subscription, I'd expect some new features for the alarm side of things. For instance, android auto to make it easier to manually disarm when close to home, or location services to disarm when arriving within a certain distance, another one is Google/Alexa integration so the alarm can be armed/disarmed using evening/morning routines. I don't feel that anything is happening with the app/features.
