Comunicación Total es una aplicación desarrollada por la Fundación Vodafone con la colaboración de la Consejería de Educación, Cultura y Universidades de la Región de Murcia y de la Asociación Nacional de Tecnologías para la Atención a la Diversidad (DiverTIC). El objetivo de esta aplicación es proporcionar al alumnado con necesidades educativas en el área de comunicación y lenguaje, sus familias y a los profesionales que les atienden, un conjunto de vídeos y animaciones que sirvan de apoyo audiovisual para el aprendizaje de los signos del Programa de Comunicación Total – Habla Signada de Benson Schaeffer.El Programa de Comunicación Total-Habla Signada puede prestar un gran apoyo en la intervención educativa con alumnos no verbales, propiciando el establecimiento de conductas comunicativas allí dónde no las hay, entre otras razones porque es un método estructurado y, por tanto, fácilmente repetible, que hace hincapié en la “intención de acción”, es decir, en la ejecución de un acto-conducta con la finalidad de lograr un deseo: Va dirigido a la adquisición de pautas comunicativas funcionales, lo que ejercita el desarrollo cognitivo y social, disminuyendo las conductas disruptivas e incrementando las conductas sociales adaptativas.
