e-SATHI APP is a wonderful initiative by Delhi Police, South East District that has been designed and launched for the convenience of the general public/residents which shall not only facilitate the citizens but also help in reducing the gap between the local police and the general public. The APP is aimed at providing police assistance and other services to the citizens on their smart phones without physically visiting the police station. It is very user friendly and any citizen in need can easily download the APP from the google/play store and use it. It has the facility to connect to the local area division/police station staff who shall promptly respond to the call for redressal of the grievances of the citizens.The APP has the facility to share information such as menace of public drinking, gambling, illegal sale of liquor, crime against women, dark/vulnerable stretch or any other such issue that can easily be brought to the notice of the local police staff for taking action/corrective measures. It also has the provision of uploading the picture of the place/incident/crime in the form so provided for sharing the information.
Besides, if the citizen is in need of getting tenant/servant verification done, it can be done using this APP by the citizen without visiting the police station on his smart mobile phone. This APP has the facility to send a request for servant/tenant verification using the form available in the system.
The residents may also use this APP to enroll their names for several activities/programmes of Delhi Police such as Self Defence Courses, Neighbourhood Watch Scheme, Yuva Programmes, Eyes and Ears Scheme, Parivartan etc. This will create an authentic database regarding enrollment of such volunteers.
In addition to this, the APP also provides safety tips for the citizens regarding the precautions to be taken against the activities of Thak Thak Gang, Fake affirmation of winning Lottery prize, Cyber Fraud etc. Further, the APP also provides several helpline numbers for the assistance of the citizens in distress such as PCR, Women Helpline, Missing Person, Vigilance etc. It also has the provision to link the user to other APPs of Delhi Police viz. HIMMAT, TRAFFIC APP, LOST REPORT, Police Clearance Certificate, MISSING PERSONS, REPORT OF STOLEN PROPERTY.
