Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Okay well after reading others reviews I have decided to share as well. One person was correct in assuming it would cause a novice to buy to much stuff that is unnecessary. So last year was my 1st year with a pool. I spent a fortune on chemicals trying to meet the standards of the scan strips. Very annoying, this year i went out and bought a bunch of stuff thinking i was going to need it, but after listening to others that have had pools i have purchased the liquid test kit. Wow what adifference
1 ★Good idea, lousy execution. I thought the gray card was a good idea. However, i can compare to the colors on the side of the bottle better than the scan does. regularly shows 0 for some value when comparing to the side of the bottle that level is fine. Trying to sell more of their product I guess.
2 ★I really like the app when it works, but I can't tell you how many test strips I have wasted because the app malfunctions. It constantly doesn't recognize the strip and asks me to retake the picture several times or it repeatedly says I need to restart the app. My internet connection works fine, so it's not that. To ensure accuracy, you need to read/scan the strip within 15 seconds, which is not enough time when these issues with the app occur, leading to wasted strips and wasted money.
2 ★Great resource for 1st time pool owners mostly, but SUPER glitchy. I tried to troubleshoot the app issues thinking it was my phone/connection but after reading through the reviews, it seems to be a problem everywhere. I really hope the company can resolve it, because this app (when it works correctly) is the best resource I've found to maintain a small pool.
3 ★The app and test strips seem to give me fairly consistent results as also compared to my liquid reagent test kit and the pool supply store's results from a water sample. The app however would suggest buying product, which obviously that's a personal decision to make. Overall, I would rate the app 4 stars but because it could lead the pool novice into purchasing and using too many products I lowered to 3 stars. The only issue I had with the app itself was taking scans of the test strip.
1 ★does not store history any longer. says too blurry when trying to scan. impossible to get a scan in 15 secs. no longer tells how much product to use to correct a problem. never had these problems before. darn near impossible to scan strip in the sun as directed; can't see the screen in sunlight. do it the old fashioned way, get a chemical testing kit or just take the water to a pool supply store that does free testing. app used to work well until this last update..
1 ★Great in 2018... WAY Downhill in 2019. Chemical quantities went from tablespoons, teaspoons, and cups to decimal Lbs which makes it useless without a scale. Most recently, it stopped displaying ALL of the reasons from past test strips and only shows three values in history even though they were ALL visible when scanned. If it's not a glitch, they need to rethink this "feature". So, only 1 star until they fix this thing like it was in 2017/2018. Next season I may not even bother with clorox.
1 ★Not going to waste much time writing a review but as cool as this app seemed at first, it's not accurate. After watching things PH and Alkalinity go way up then way down after following instructions, I tested the water back to back several times and got mixed, even opposite results. End result is, I now own every pool chemical known to man and don't know which to add.
1 ★The test strips work fairly well when you compare it to the color chart on the bottle. Scanning them with the app is worthless and misleading. I haven't once gotten an accurate reading using the app. I've tried scanning in different light too. Sequential tests never agree. If you are going to use the app do the manual entry.
1 ★OMG!! super frustrated! Every time I've tested app says same: add scale & whatever liquid, add pHup, add more scale & whatever liquid, add non-chlorine oxidizer shock & add chlorine tablets. My standard test says chlorine high. I dunno, it was a $10 purchase, mot a big loss. I love Clorox products around the house but this pool test doesn't seem to work. For me at least. I'll just take my water samples to the pool store.
1 ★Successfully used this last year but the current version is broken. after getting permission to take photos and use location, it simply locks on a black screen. Reattempts just lock on splash screen. Spoke with their tech support a month ago and was told they had tech issues but fixed version would be out in 2 days. Just loaded new version and got exact same behavior. Program appears to have been abandoned.
1 ★Makes me waste strips by saying session expired you need to log in AFTER I scan. Bombed after logging in and wasting another strip and no results saved from either time. Happened again after logging in (is this new?) Gives me the results but when I hit next either bombs or session expired. Scan results don't always save to history so leaves me at a loss when at the store. Garbage. I'm done with this.
