Description
월산교회는 1901년 무스 선교사님에 의하여 월산리 답내리 마을에 달뫼(보통 사람들은 달뫼를 당미라고 발음하였습니다)교회가 세워졌습니다.지금의 답내 초등학교 정문 맞은편은 붉은 진흙 언덕이었기에, 사람들이 붉은 언덕이라고 불렀으며 이 씨네 땅이었습니다. 이 씨네서 기꺼이 땅을 내어 주어 이곳에 한옥으로 교회당에 세워졌고, 하나님께 예배를 드렸습니다.1974년에 지금의 화도 휴게소 윗 편에 400여 평을 구입하여 교회당을 지어 이전하였습니다. 1985년에 장로를 세움으로 조직교회가 되고 자립교회가 되었습니다. 그 이전까지 목회자를 모시지 못하여 주일에 교우들끼리 예배를 드린 적도 많았습니다.
1988년 4월 월산리 교회에서 마지막 예배를 드리고 마지막 예배 때에 김풍호 목사님께서 32살의 나이에 부임하셨습니다.
또한 100주년을 4년 앞에 둔 2003년, 100주년 기념교회당을 건축하였습니다. 2007년 교회창립 100주년을 맞이한 월산교회는 “함께 하신 100년 인도하실 1000년”이란 표어를 정하고 온 교우들이 지금까지 인도하시고 함께 하신 하나님께 감사를 드리며, 지난 온 100년 보다 더욱 놀라운 하나님의 역사하심을 기대하고 있습니다.
