The MES Energy Manager allows homeowners to remotely monitor and control the biggest users of energy in their home – their heating and cooling systems, electric water heaters, refrigerators, pools and so on.The MES Energy Manager uses a gateway in the home to connect programmable thermostats, load controllers and other sensors to the Internet. This gateway can use Ethernet, WiFi or Cellular connections to access the Internet while providing a wireless Zigbee network in the home for control of its mechanical equipment.
Using the MES Energy Manager and connected devices in the home, users can view and change equipment settings controlling the temperature and energy use in their home. Common settings they may adjust include:
· Heat, Cool, Off or Auto HVAC system mode,
· Permanent schedules and temperature set points,
· Temporary temperature adjustments (warmer or cooler),
· Vacation adjustments (temperature & water heating).
