Write is a minimalist text editor for Android Tablets. You can use it to take notes, to write journal entries or for other text editing tasks.Write offers both a minimalist writing interface that allows you to focus on what you are currently writing and a proper modern Android interface for managing your notes/journal entries.

✔ Fullscreen mode
When you want to focus you can hide the action bar and go to the fullscreen mode. In this mode you will see just your writing (and the onscreen keyboard if you are using it). There is an additional fullscreen view mode, where you can read text with editing disabled.
✔ Automatic Saving
Notes save when you go back to the main screen, when you switch to another App or go to the Home Screen.
✔ Markdown Support
Markdown is a way of adding formatting to plain text and additional features such as HTML links. Write optionally (activate via the settings menu) treats your notes as Markdown and highlights some of the major elements such as titles while editing.
✔ Word and Character count
So you can keep track of how much you've written. View statistics via the menu.
✔ Quickly create new versions of notes
You can create a copy of a note at the tap of a button. And delete notes (after confirmation) quickly.
You can export notes in HTML format to your external storage/SD card (ideal if you want to edit them in Word/Pages/OpenOffice Writer).

Notes are ordered by standard last-edited-first order and with a tap of your left thumb you can filter by date. In the latest version you can also order by creation date (Journal style). You can also do a text search to locate particular notes/entries.

5 ★Simple text editor. Word count and auto-spell checker are great. I personally use it with my ASUS Transformer keyboard to write first drafts of my short stories.
2 ★Tell me how to remove / hide: "New, View All, View last 7 days, View this month, View this year, Help/guide" From left menu. Its very annoying. I need only my folders here. Can this font custom size too?
5 ★This is very very nice for writing on but it would be so much better if I could use it in cascade or duel view on my Samsung.
4 ★Distraction-free, eye-friendly writing app that works great for first drafts where you need to just buckle down and write. Even better if you Bluetooth it to a keyboard.
4 ★You can't write better than this. The only thing missing is greater cloud storage awareness (Drive!). Dropbox is okay but more choices is always better. Well done.

1 ★I use to Love this app but what ever you did, made it useless. I wrote for 3 days. When I tried to print, it won't print. Program keeps shutting down.. Also, I got an email directing me back here to view a reply from you. Please tell me how to view that reply
4 ★I would give it 5 stars, but found it could not handle long pieces, so had to break my writing up in to chapters. Not a big deal, but would prefer a project was on entry.

3 ★The potential for a fantastic minimalist text editor is there, but as so often with Android apps, it just fails to go the last 10% that would make it really good. The Markdown support appears to be incomplete, for example link captions don't work. Export is without options, file organization is weird and inflexible, etc. etc.
