Description
Die International Police Association (IPA) ist der politisch und gewerkschaftlich unabhängige Zusammenschluss von Angehörigen des Polizeidienstes, ohne Unterschied von Rang, Geschlecht, Rasse, Hautfarbe, Sprache oder Religion als größte Berufsvereinigung der Welt mit annähernd360.000 Mitgliedern in derzeit 68 Staaten vertreten. Sie hat beratenden Status beim Wirtschafts- und Sozialrat der Vereinten Nationen. In ihren Statuten zur Einhaltung der Grundsätze der Menschenrechte verpflichtet, so wie sie im Jahr 1948 von den Vereinten Nationen erklärt wurden. Es ist ihre Absicht, Bande der Freundschaft und der Zusammenarbeit zwischen ihren Mitgliedern und den Mitgliedssektionen zu schaffen. Auf Grund ihres Zweckes und ihrer Ziele ist die IPA seit dem 26. Juli 1995 bei den Vereinten Nationen mit beratendem Status in der Liste der nichtstaatlichen internationalen Organisationen registriert.
Die Sektionen Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz haben zusammen mehr als
100.000 Mitglieder und bieten mit der App einen Service für ihre Mitglieder und einen einfachen Zugang zur IPA für Polizisten und Polizeibedienstete die gerne Mitglied bei der IPA werden möchten.
