Description
Monitor and track your weight, BMI, body fat, body water, muscle and other body metrics in an open source app that:* has an easy to use user interface with graphs,
* doesn't require you to create an account,
* can be configured to only show the metrics you care about, and
* respects your privacy and lets you decide what to do with your data.
Bluetooth scales
openScale has built-in support for a number of Bluetooth (BLE or "smart") scales from many manufacturers, e.g. Beurer, Sanitas, Yunmai, Xiaomi, etc. (see model list below). Together with our users we constantly improve and extend the set of supported scales and in many cases pick up where the original app falls short.
For scales without Bluetooth, or Bluetooth scales not (yet) supported by openScale, measurements can be manually entered in a quick and easy way.
Privacy
This app has no ads and requests no unnecessary permissions. The location permission is only needed to find a Bluetooth scale. Once found the permission can be revoked (or never granted if Bluetooth isn't used).
Supported metrics
Weight, BMI (body mass index), body water, muscle, LBM (lean body mass), body fat, bone mass, waist circumference, waist-to-height ratio, hip circumference, waist-hip ratio, visceral fat, chest circumference, thigh circumference, biceps circumference, neck circumference, body fat caliper, BMR (basal metabolic rate), TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and Calories. Each entry can also have an optional comment.
Note: don't worry if you think the list is too long: metrics you don't use can be disabled and hidden.

- Evaluates measurements and gives a quick visual feedback to show you if you're within or outside the recommended range given your age, sex, height etc.

How to install openScale APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download openScale APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.health.openscale-v2.0.1-ApkClean.apk)
- Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

5 ★Fantastic application. It's not perfect (I can't automatically share myweight stats with my fitness apps), but the fact that this app works sowell with a scale that isn't supported by its own manufacturer (Yunmai BodyFat Smart Scale Mini 2) is worthy of praise. I can track my progress formost of the measurements that the scale purportedly measures, add familymembers, export into a CSV... This is a wonderful app, and I can't praiseit enough. Thank you for developing this, and ensuring that I didn't throwmy money away when I decided to buy a smart scale.
4 ★When I enter my Goal Weight in lbs, the app converts it to kgs, but itinaccurately says lbs. So I have to enter a goal weight more than doublewhat it actually is in order to get the app to display my progresscorrectly. Otherwise good app for tracking scale measurements.

I ordered a new Bluetooth scale but I'm not happy with itsAndroid app. It requires you to create an online profile and I just don'twant to create yet another account somewhere and see no need to give themthat much personal (and biometric!) Data. With some searching, I foundopenScale. My scale is not supported but manual entry is easy enough. Andsince it is an open source project, I might be able to add the supportmyself! Con: 1.) The goal weight calculation is a little wonky but I sawwhere the dev has a bug fix in place. Hopefully it will get published soon.Pros: 1.) Open source! 2.) Clean UI / easy to use 3.) 5 ★Brilliant! I have a set of aquarius Bluetooth bathroom scales, which were pretty much useless as the bespoke app wouldn't open without crashing. I thought they were destined for the bin until I found this app, and I'm able to track my bmi and weight again. Thanks to the developers for making my scales usable again.
4 ★Very nice app, however I would still prefer some auto cloud syncingcapabilities. Even if it's just dumping a json to a Google Drive folder.

1 ★Will not connect to my scale which is on a list of supported scales... iWelness (app for my scale) works perfectly but lacks of features.
5 ★Works with my Sanitas SBF 70, all values eventually, but the setup wastricky - see apps FAQ and Github discussion, worked after some attempts.
2 ★Sorry, bit it did not work for me entirely. With my xiaomi scale v2 I couldonly get the weight data, but not the remaining data (water, muscle, fat,etc). Totally useless if I cannot get those metrics. :( But it seemspromising..
