A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Pretty good and simple when it works but loading the app takes literally 5 mins. We have solid 100 mbs wifi and no problem with Alexa and other connected devices. If you read other reviews you will see this problem is pervasive and has existed for a long time. My guess is a corp IT group that is better with ERP and mainframes built the app, declared success and moved on. Customer experience sucks.
1 ★Bought an expensive Profile slide in range. The app worked for the first month. Then it stopped working. The oven wifi indicator is solid, and the oven says it is connected, but the app says it cannot locate the oven in the cloud. Escalated support's only email to me was to move the router closer even though I did a signal check at the oven and found the signal to be -54 dbm which is relatively strong. After sending several follow-up emails to support, they have not responded.
1 ★Did everything I was supposed to do then it wouldn't log me in. After closing out and opening it over 5 times it finally logged me in. Then I did what it said to do to add my air conditioner but after having to push the wifi button more than once to get it to work it took over 3 minutes to finalize amd still didn't add my air conditioner. I do not believe it is worth the download. If the people would fix the app I would redownload and give it more stars and use it and write a good review.
3 ★There are two things at play here... 1) the app, and 2) the A/C unit. The app works as expected. Not sure why the other reviewer stated he cannot turn ON his A/C, but you can do that easily with this app. You can also easily set a schedule and control all settings including fan mode & speed, temp and on/off. Where I see the failure is the A/C unit itself when it comes to scheduled operation (which comes from the app). Every time the app's schedule kicks in, the unit beeps and rather loudly. It beeps once for EVERY setting which gets made. The other thing it does is ignore that the unit might ALREADY BE ON, and when the scheduled time to turn it on arrives, the unit 1) turns off, 2) immediately turns back on, and of course... 3) beeps loudly multiple times adjusting from the "on defaults" to whatever the app has set (the "on defaults" include a mode setting of "eco" instead of "cool"). As a result, you cannot have this unit quietly make adjustments during the night without risking waking nearby people. There is no option to turn off the beeping. Also, it makes no sense to turn off an already-on unit, only to then turn it immediately back on. The unit should be updated to allow for silent operation (i.e. no beeping), and should first check unit's status, adjusting only differences from the schedule. One thing the developers did get right is the LEDs on the unit do go off automatically, allowing for darkness. They turn back on for several seconds upon any change as one might expect.
2 ★What's the point? I can see what its doing but can't control it outside of using the Google Home app to pause and start? Given that its a stackable unit it would be nice for the app to interface with the unit so short people don't to stand on a step stool. Great potential, poor execution.
1 ★Absolutely terrible. Technically functional but bogged down with ads for more products (guess what, I'm LESS likely to buy those products now that I know how terrible the app is), which slow the app to a crawl and make it harder to accurately press buttons so sorry grandma! smarthq decided ads on a product we already paid $300 for were more important than user friendly interface.
1 ★"Oops! There appears to be an error when trying to receive information from the WiFi module. Please try again." Is exactly the error message I want to see right before the app crashes when trying to set up a new $3k range... Seriously, this app is an embarrassment. You have no excuse for it to be in this state. Fix it. And before you try to help me troubleshoot, I'm a professional Android developer who has built WiFi apps, I'm not an amateur. It's broken on all my devices.
4 ★I didn't think this app would be useful, but I'm enjoying having it. It's nice to wake up & turn the oven on first thing. By the time I'm dressed & arrive in the kitchen, the oven is ready to use! Last week I proofed rolls in the lower oven, then turned the upper oven on remotely. When I got home, all I had to do was pop the rolls in the upper oven to bake -- very nice. It's also nice to check remaining cook time without having to run to the kitchen. GE will use the app to upgrade my Smart Oven with air fry capability. I can hardly wait! My only worry is that I couldn't install the app on my new tablet with the latest Android version. I installed it on my ancient phone with an outdated Android version. If I get a new phone, as I was planning, I hope I won't have trouble installing the app.
1 ★After spending an hour trying to sign on "Oops check input" it will NOT turn on oven. Yes the remote is enabled. Why do I want to turn it on? I was enticed by the thought preheating oven before I get home. The app is a major disappointment.
1 ★Hate the app ... Too much of a hassle to use the app and a waste of time. Can't use the remote start Software update keeps failing to install ....
1 ★There used to be a different app for connecting to my washer & dryer but support for that ended and I was forced into this SmartHQ app. Unfortunately the app does not seem to push notifications to my phone anymore, which was the entire point for a WiFi-connected washer/dryer. The app provides really no other worthwhile functionality and my appliances don't chime when a load finishes, so I am stuck checking in the app (which connects very slowly) or going an the way downstairs to check.
5 ★I've been using this app to control my GE air conditioner for about 2 weeks now and it has worked perfectly. Once you get past the long setup it has been exactly as advertised. Controlling the temp, speed, mode, and schedule has been great. So far I'm quite pleased.
