1 ★I know I can do more with my gimbal through this app but the stupid app doesn't connect with my Samsung S20+. I bought the Vlog Pocket because it's compact. I will not recommend this brand to everyone I know. I will tell them to get a DJI instead.
1 ★Will not connect to Bluetooth on my Galaxy Note20 ultra. Logs in then out again. Then I get pop ups that say parameters errors and bluetooth disconnect. All this after a canon firmware update on the Feiyu On app.
2 ★Oh my god... I cannot even believe that I'm dealing with this. It's freaking hard to get connected to the Bluetooth. Such a waste of time waiting and waiting for it to get connected!
1 ★The app is virtually unusable. There is a lot of promise to the app, but it does not function well. For example, there is no way to use any of the photo modes like panorama. Video recording when using my S9 on the G6 Plus appears to be in process, but when I turn recording off there is no video file saved. The "magic ring" control knob is unusable with this app, unless jerky focus pulls and zooming is what you want. Zooming from 0 to 100% takes around 100 turns of the knob, a complete joke. This product is not ready for the market. That's too bad, as the form factor of the G6 plus is good. If Feiyu got this app right they'd likely have a very successful product, but with this app being as bad as it is, they're pushing people to the competition.
1 ★This is seriously one of the worst apps that I've ever come across, not only is it flaky, but I absolutely object to the need for the app to access just about everything on the phone before it can be used. The early version (for which I still have the apk) had no requirement for this intrusive phone access, so it really makes me wonder what they were thinking. FeiyuTech gimbals are a god budget gimbal but this current app should be nuked.
1 ★While the gimbal seems great in concept. 4 different methods of connecting the gimbal to a Hero 7 failed. On Android 7.1.1, app will not connect via Bluetooth at all. On iOS 12.0.1, app will connect via Bluetooth and will allow one to successfully configure Wi-Fi, but gimbal will not connect to Hero 7 via 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi. Followed feiyu's online instructions. I figure the gimbal may need a firmware update, however no method I tried was able to do that successfully. Android Does not connect at all. iOS returns "query failed" error in the update firmware screen. On multiple Windows 10 1709 computers, gimbal shows up as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". There are no features the app offers that I desire. I simply want to be able to connect the camera to the gimbal via Wi-Fi so the gimbal record button will function. I ask the developer to focus only on this basic function as all other app functions are irrelevant if I cannot connect the gimbal to the camera via Wi-Fi. Thank you.
4 ★So far no connections issues at all. Almost everything works in the app except for path time-lapse and auto tracking is a joke. Wish I could customize the functionality of the buttons and trigger in the app but it's not possible, there isn't any video editor in this app at all. Other than that this app isn't as terrible as most reviews say so. Been using it on the Oneplus 5 & vimble 2. PS: having to disable water mark every time sucks.
1 ★So you have done updates to offer more functions, but they don't work properly, and some old functions have stopped. I have the A1000 gimble, the latest release that you made. It use to do autorotation and release the shutter on my Sony A6000 for a motion time lapse, this no longer works. You added smartphone integration thought the bluetooth connection. Im using Samsung S9. The object tracking does not work. If the smart phone is on the gimbal and you select an object to track it just randomly moves around in circles and does not track. Remove the phone from the gimbal and it then appears to track the movements of the camera with the gimbal correctly, but that is pretty pointless. Also does the object tracking work for time lapse function, I can't appear to make that work. Face tracking also does not work.
2 ★It still does not work properly when I try to make timelaps videos. I'm not able to set the time, which is the most important thing in a gimbal. I can only set a starting point and a end point, but how long the panning will be is completely upto the gimbal and the app,which is roughly around 30 seconds. If I want 1hour or 2 hour panning shot then it cannot even be set, which for me is one of the most important feature for which I bought the gimbal in the first place.
1 ★Still has the issue that the video is jerky, same as with the Vicool app. :-( I wish they could get the video smooth as it is on the phone itself. They need to fix this otherwise videos are just no good with the gimbal. Not smooth at all. I have a LG G6 phone which has enough horse power. So the app is bad. Videos should be smooth as silk.
1 ★Worst app ever by far. Got a G6 gimbal and there was a firmware update through the app. did the update, restart the gimbal and guess what?! The gimbal is dead. They have got this issue from 2018 and still cant fix it. Do not buy this G6 gimbal or if u did do not update the firmware at all. I sent back my unit to seller for refund just now. How on earth u guys cant make a good product?! Are u really serious? The app has many other issues which are applicable for all other products.
3 ★Use it with an a1000. Works, but has some bugs. Auto-calibrate doesn't work and ends up setting different motors to the highest setting even with a gx85 at 550 grams. Need to shut down the a1000 otherwise the motors will burn out. Overall, it's an okay app, but have seen videos of previous versions that were slicker UI wise. 3 stars since I can't get the right settings for cinematic panning. Maybe it's just the a1000 that can't do it.
