1 ★Absolute worst. Should have bought pactalk. Why cant I update from the ap? Why does it crash every 2 seconds?
1 ★The app itself seems to work except when it crashes which is not often. The app is not really the problem though. Its the headset. The platform is just full of issues. No range, garbled sound, poor volume control, connection with other units that are not a 30K is useless. I've used mine for over a year and with several other riders who have the same units. We all hate them. Even after several firmware updates they fall way short of the promised features. Avoid the 30K. I don't think I would buy Sena again at all given their lack of customer support and inability to fix or recall a defective product. This cost way to much to be such a failure.
4 ★Update: app stops crashing once sena 30k is updated through computer first. App is still awkward to use. App crashes when sena 30k is connected via Bluetooth on my Verizon Samsung note 9.
3 ★Decent, can be improved. Please add some sort of EQ options or presets so we can reduce the treble on fm radio. Most of the time it's uncomfortable to listen even at decent levels because of the harsh highs. Also give us a volume slider for the voice prompt, it's deafening when listening to fm radio while talking over bluetooth intercom. Almost crashed the first time I tried to change station, it was that HORRIBLY LOUD compared to intercom and radio..
1 ★Stay away from Sena products, especially the 30k.The development of these units are still in their infancy, despite being around a while. Their programmers are still very limited in their abilities to create a stable platform for these devices to function on. They continue to have multiple issues, regardless of how many updates are released. Technical issues are faced on a daily basis. The distance of the mesh signal does not hold a clear connection further than approx 50mtrs with an unobstructed path. The blue tooth pairings do not always reconnect automatically. When you introduce blue tooth into mesh, it throws the whole network into disarray. The pc app still runs on 16 bit technology and at times, once updated, fails to re recognise your device. Support is very limited. Once they finally respond, they usually have no solution for your query. And the list goes on. Highly recommend finding another product. We are a large group of riders who purchased these units in bulk, so this is not the view of a single user. Happy riding everyone.
5 ★Do your homework, this is a great app and great headsets after update. I've had my 30k units over a year now, and new out of the box the units were finicky. The mesh would disconnect too easily, and we'd spend more time fidgeting with the units than riding. Like many others have said, plug your headset into a cpu and update from the Sena website. The mesh 2.0 is fantastic! Range and connectivity have been greatly improved. Never once lost connection on a long ride through wooded single track
1 ★Like most other reviewers the app crashes because it wants an update. You have to update the firmware via a tablet or computer using sena's updater software. However after I did this I found that my phone will no longer pair with the 30k. I've tried playing with the settings via the updater app but still no joy. I would smash the 30k to bits but at £500 they were far too expensive. Have emailed sena for help, watch this space...
1 ★Wow. I've used the app store for most of my life at this point. Going through the app store I've never in my life found a more consensus on a hated app as this one. Why is it on the app store if it doesn't work? I have a nephew that has 3 apps currently on the appstore that are up to date and have no troubles with phones that are on the market right now. Get to work on fixing your app, cause competitors can and are doing better than you are right now.
2 ★I managed to download the app. But it keeps crashing. I'm a new rider and my partner likes to talk to me as we ride together. But I cant play my music during our paired sequence. I need to disable it through the app, but it crashes before I can get to the settings.
1 ★App crashes immediately after opening. Note 10 plus 5g. Disappointing. I will change review if it ever starts working. Will be returning and going with different company if not fixed in 30 days. Sucks to spend so much money on something and not have it work correctly.
2 ★When I try to rename users, it crashes. Believe this is because when I start typing a name, it goes from the pairing section of the app to the music section... if you are fast enough you can save a letter at a time without it crashing. Not doing it on friends phone, so must be a specific setting causing it. Tried rebooting device towns reinstalling app to no avail. Sena, fix what you have before building a whole new app for 50s / 50r models!
3 ★If you're app will not launch,crash whatever!! I might have your solution!!! In the event that your app will not launch, you should try hooking it up to your computer going to the sena sight in your user guide on like page 2 and update it from there!!! It might be to out of date for the app to even work with it!!!
