Description

Use Cold Turkey to temporarily block yourself from your phone so that you can:

1) Concentrate on studying, or focus on work you love.
2) Have better, meaningful conversations with friends around you.
3) Give your date the respect they deserve.
4) Help reduce your automatic response of checking your phone.

Instructions:

Step 1: Start the app and set the amount of time you want to block yourself (1 min - 1 hour)
Step 2: Tap "Go Cold Turkey" to start the device-wide block
Step 3: Profit - and enjoy your surroundings on planet Earth

Once the block is started, you won't be able to stop it until your timer is finished. Blocking features include the back button, holding the power button to restart the device and switching apps. You will still be able to tap your home button, but no other apps will be able to start. Additionally, you will still be able to take out your battery to restart your device in case of emergencies.

3 ★It would be nice if you can block more than an hour. Also removing the battery is easy.... Update:- Nice to hear your reply. I actually own the PC version of Cold Turkey already and use it everyday and totally love it! So I hope I don't have to pay again to get the Android version when you release it.

5 ★I really love this app. I used to have it on my laptop and I still use it and one day fumbling through the play store I found this app. It is one of my most favourite apps of all time but however a small problem is that I usually keep my phone blocked for an hour but after like 15 minutes, the cold turkey app gets called off. This keeps happening repetitively. I hope this gets fixed and more new features like the schedules are also added. Overall a 5 star from my side. ;-)

4 ★It's disabling the phone without my switching on the timer. I just have to go to the app and my phone gets disabled. It worked very well on other versions of android not 7. Please look into the matter.

3 ★It's ok but not the best way to block yourself from distractions. It block you from using all apps. This is not Always ideal as some apps I would still like access to. E.g. I would like to be able to listen to music while working. However it does not block notifications. So messages from WhatsApp and Facebook etc still pop up and I can read them. App needs work to be really useful.

5 ★Really nice app guys. It is often in programmers' minds that you need to always have some kind of 'get out of jail card' type thing with these apps, but I love the way that there is no way (I have discovered yet) to get out of whatever homework I'm doing and procrastinate on my phone!

5 ★I love this app, but if there's an emergency, you can't call for help. This would be SO much better it connected to your phone and let you block off certain apps that distract you. To be clear, the app is still great. Just a minor change would be much appreciated. Thank you!

4 ★One 'backdoor' way you can access your apps and disable Cold Turkey after activating it - if your phone supports split screen, then using the split screens disables Cold Turkey. Besides that, this is a great app.

4 ★The time breaks when you start multiscreen mode on Nougat. But must admit, had pretty impressive blocking features.

1 ★Why it attempted internet connection? With a Facebook site of all things? Also, it sometimes starts blocking on its own - without command from the user.

1 ★This is app would be great but for the 1 hour limit, it makes it totally pointless, I don't understand why it's so hard to allow your users to chose the time limit? Thanks for making me more productive for 1 hour I guess :) but after that it's back to Instagram!

4 ★This is by far a great app, although a huge let down it it doesn't let me choose the apps I'd probably really need. Like say google, I always need google while.im studying notes. I think it should let us use the feature of choosing the apps we'd probably need.
