Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★Really neat idea, but why isn't there a way to sort the list by how sustainable the fish is instead of alphabetical? If I'm at the market and they have 30 different fish for sale, I don't want to have to look all of them up, I just want to get the most sustainable fish that is available where I am.
1 ★Crashes every time I try to enter my location. Seafood Watch apparently nolonger includes data on pollutants of concern for species and locations.App is a waste of space on my phone. Deleting.
1 ★The app doesn't work for me at all. The search function doesn't work, and both A-Z lists come up totally empty. When I tried to submit feedback though the app, it gave me an error message and wouldn't work. This is a bummer, because I want to eat sustainable seafood but don't want to carry around a card with me everywhere.
1 ★Literally hasn't worked on my pretty common Moto Android for a few years.Searches always come up empty.
1 ★App Doesn't work. Looks very good. But is useless if you need information.Crashes are Doesn't load. What a waste
4 ★I really like the concept, however since the Seafood Watch launched theSlavery Risk tool in February, I wish the app included information aboutthat as well. Its information consumers should be aware of as much asbusinesses.
2 ★Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in a while and it shows, as it only partially works. It also would be great if the app would scan canned seafood for an instant review. - Too bad, as this is important information.
2 ★Seafood and Sushi A-Z lists are empty and search can't find salmon, shrimp etc.. Says they were not found.
1 ★App does not have any populated lists on my tablet running marshmallow. On my wife's S5 and my S7 it works great. Also both running marshmallow. Please fix. Tablet is ZTE-K88
3 ★If it also included information about mercury levels and PCBs I would give 5 stars. Otherwise the app is pretty useful for making eco-friendly decisions, if not healthy ones.
1 ★Super buggy. 50% of the times I opened it, it went to a blank black screen and when I escaped out or tried accessing setting to force it closed, it reopened repeatedly. Only way to stop this seems to be restarting my phone
5 ★After years of the app being non functional, it's finally back and works great. Finding information about different fish is once again easy.
