A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Works well except for firmware upgrades. The App has an annoying habit of telling you that your devices(plugs and switches) need a firmware upgrade... But when you try to do them they never complete successfully. So far, this defect has not prevented anything to work.. But it does make me wounder if it's going to be a problem later on!?
1 ★this product doesn't even worth the words I'm writing but, thought it should be good to have people aware and not to purchase this product. One stupid thing about it is that once you change network provider that's it, your money is gone because they will stop working. I've contacted their customer support and did all modifications they asked me to do with my internet provider and still didn't work.
5 ★Working great. I was a little bit worried after reading the negative reviews, but once I physically had the switch installed, set up was a breeze! Although, I could see people having trouble if they aren't a bit tech savvy. Response is darn near instantaneous from when I hit the switch on my phone to when the relay clicks. I can't comment on the scheduling stuff because all I wanted this for was to be able to turn on/off an outlet mounted on my 12 ft high garage ceiling through my phone.
1 ★Worked fine till changed phone tried everything ! Had to buy another brand . Much better
1 ★App and device are seriously flawed. Using same SSID for both 2.4 and 5G apparently is not supported. One Google Pixel, the software doesn't populate the SSID. I assumed that this was the root problem. Tried my old Nexus 5. It does see the SSID, but still not able to configure. The App is not particularly helpful and quite generic. I forgot the password when setting up on Nexus 5 and had to reset. You have a minute to get the email, get the code and enter it in. That is not a reasonable limit on resetting a password. Last, no user authentication. You can register any email address and do not need to validate that it is your email address. This can be abused. If I can find receipt, will be returning.
1 ★Keeps turning my set schedules off on my switches. The whole reason I bought these plugs was for the schedule. Garbage app.
1 ★This app is most charitably described as garbage. I'd call it "buggy" but that's not fair... to insects. To defend the buggy comment: after several tries at a "normal" installation, I tried an AP installation, only to have the app keep bouncing out to my cell phone's network connection - the app kept trying to get me to connect my cell phone to the wireless network, closed itself, and opened the network connections dialog, which demonstrated that I was, in fact, already connected to my wireless network. But as I mentioned, the app closed itself. I re-opened the app, went back into AP mode, got the same warning, app closed itself, rinse-wash-repeat. What a waste of time and energy. When there were failed connections, the "help" link simply opened up the same instructions that didn't work in the first place. The app ostensibly supports the CE Smart Home WiFi Smart Plug, which I suspect is destined for a return to Costco (thank god for their return policies). I'll continue trying to figure out the "secret formula" for getting this app to work, but I am extremely unimpressed by this app and this product.
3 ★Not exactly realtime. I think their server must only update info periodically. Also energy usage is not very accurate as compared to other energy meters I have used. Should also have 3 digit accuracy.
4 ★The only thing missing is the ability to turn the plug on and have a timer for it automatically go off in a set amount of time. Otherwise, I've seen none of the problems people report in their reviews. Been working fine for the last 8 months. Even added an an LED strip from another manufacturer without issue.
2 ★Purchased a 2-pack of CE Smart WiFi outlets at Costco. Incredibly painful setup process. Straight up would not work on a Pixel 2 with Android 9. Tried dozens of times in both normal pairing and AP mode. Re-tried setup on a Galaxy Tab 7 tablet with Android 4 and was finally successful. I think this app doesn't request the required permission to change WiFi settings under Android 8+ and so can't seek and connect to the outlets. This app clearly shares the codebase with several other cheap WiFi outlet options - i.e. Greeni brand. The outlets themselves are mediocre at best. Unable to connect & control them half the time when about 20' from the WiFi access point (Meraki MR32 broadcasting a 2.4GHz SSID just for these). Suspect they have an awful WiFi antenna or chipset. This would be a 1-star review but ultimately these are going to save me a ton of crawling under the Christmas tree to switch it on and off.
5 ★Excellent app and product. I use the CE smart plugs to control lights in my home on timers, which are very easy to update and change. It has come in handy to turn lights on and off while away from home. I only have the plugs connected to lights and do not have an integrated system. I like the simplicity of turning on and off lights in areas that are hard to reach in my home.Connecting a bedside light to a plug-in and setting a a timer makes getting up in the morning easier.
4 ★This is a great app, it would be even better if you offered a plain on/off wall switch in your product line. I would certainly be using many more switches in my house. Also, it would be ideal if you were to make your products integrateable with Logitech Harmony programmable remotes. Also, as a suggestion you should increase the maximum delay time in an automation from 5 hours to 24 or even 99 hours. Thanks
