ذكر اللّه خير الأعمال وأزكاها عند اللّه تعالى، وهو أيسر العبادات، وأثقلها في الميزان، وأرفعها في الدرجات، وأنجاها للمرء من العذاب، وكثرة ذكر اللّه علامة الإيمان، وقلة ذكره تعالى علامة النفاق.ذكر الله يعدل إنفاق الذهب والفضة، والضرب بالسيف في سبيل اللّه، ويعدل فكّ الرقاب، و"من قال في يوم مئة مرة: "لا إله إلاّ اللّه وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير" كانت له عَدل عشر رقاب، وكتبت له مئة حسنة، ومحيت عنه مئة سيّئة، وكانت له حرزاً من الشيطان يومَه ذلك حتى يمسي" (1).
وذكر الله يرضي الرحمن، ويطرد الشيطان، ويزيل الهمّ، ويجلب الفرح، ويذهب السيّئات، وهو سبيل الفلاح، وبه تحصل الطمأنينة للقلب، ومجالس الذكر مجالس الملائكة، تحفّها بأجنحتها، وتتنزّل فيها السكينة، وتغشاها الرحمة، ويذكر الله تعالى أهلها فيمن عنده.
والذكر نوعان: ذكر مقيّد بوقت أو سبب، كالذكر في الصلاة، وأذكار الصباح والمساء، والذكر عند المصيبة، وذكر مطلق، كالتهليل
والتسبيح والتكبير في كل وقت، والمؤمن الصادق رطب اللسان بذكر الله، وهو زاده في يومه وليلته، وفي جميع شؤونه.
والدعاء هو العبادة، والله تعالى يحبّ أن يُسأل، ويغضب على من لم يسأله، {وقال ربّكم ادعوني استجب لكم إنّ الذين يستكبرون عن عبادتي سيدخلون جهنّم داخرين } (غافر: .6 ). وما من مسلم يدعو بدعوة إلاّ آتاه اللّه إيّاها، أو ادّخر له من الأجر مثلها، أو صرف عنه من السوء مثلها، ما لم يدع بإثم أو قطيعة رحم، وما لم يكن مطعمه خبيثاً.
وأَوْلى أوقات إجابة الدعاء ثلث اللّيل الآخر، وبين الأذان والإقامة، وقبل السلام في الصلوات المكتوبات، وآخر ساعة من يوم الجمعة، وأقرب ما يكون العبد من ربه وهو ساجد.
وعلى الداعي أن يلحّ في الدعاء مراراً، وهو موقن بالإجابة غير مستعجل لها، ويقدّم بين يدي دعائه الثناء على الله تعالى بأسمائه وصفاته، ويصلّي على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، ويدعو بجوامع الدعاء ممّا ورد في الكتاب والسنّة، أو بما شاء أن يدعو به مِن صالحِ الدعاءِ.
