Description

Coubertin Rings is an Android Experiment that uses the built-in sensors on your watch to display playful interactive rings that represent your daily step count. The more steps you take, the more rings you earn. As you hit step milestones throughout the day, the rings get bigger, change color, and scale up to quantify higher step counts (e.g. 10 steps, 100 steps, 1,000 steps). Once you hit the higher step counts, your watch will reward you with a splash of color to help motivate you to the next ring. Shoot for 10,000 steps and achieve a jubilation of color!

Paying homage to Pierre de Coubertin, the father of the modern Olympic Games, the watch references the rings of the Olympic logo which was designed in 1912 by Coubertin himself. The Olympics are a symbol of goals and achievements, the Coubertin Rings watch face is meant to promote your daily activity performance.

Step calculation
If Google Fit is enabled on your phone, the watch will query the Google Fit API for the daily step count. Due to Google's implementation of the Fit API, the numbers shown may not match those reported by the phone. (We find it frustrating too, and if it bothers you, please report the bug to Google!)
When Google Fit is disabled, the built-in pedometer of each watch calculates steps, which begins counting once the Coubertin Rings watch face is selected. The daily step count resets to zero each night at 4:00 a.m. If the user selects a different watch face and returns back to Coubertin Rings, the step count will start at zero. The steps also return to zero if the watch is turned off or reset.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Cool and original. A better visualization of activity than the usual arc.
2 ★Drained my battery super fast.
5 ★Love it.
4 ★Really loved this because it's so much fun to see the rings and colors develop the more I walk, but it's stopped resetting itself every day now.I have to select another watch face in the morning and then change it back to reset the steps to zero.. I'm still using it, but I wish it would just reset in the morning like it used to. Need an update/fix.
4 ★Works now! Pretty nice watch face. definitely unique. - Moto 360.
5 ★A nice watch face to show off your watch. Ambient mode was a pleasant surprise.
2 ★Looks like a nice, idea but doesn't work. The steps remain at zero (works with other watch faces) so no rings show. In effect it remains as an off center digital watch. Hopefully yo can get it working (One Plus One and Samsung Gear Live)
3 ★Nice, but recently stopped staying in sync with what the watch was counting. Watch said I did 7,000 steps... face says 101. Moto 360 and Note 4 running stock 5.1.1
2 ★Cool concept, but the step counter doesn't seem to work with my LG G Watch R.
4 ★Took a while to start tracking. Started as I was uninstalling, haha. Moto 360 & OPO.
2 ★It's not working well in LG G Watch
1 ★No rings display on LG G Watch
