4 ★The Brits just get how to do great tv! The shows are greatness, but... The UI on the website isn't allowing me to change anything. I can't access my account to change password, change, cancel or update my subscription. The app allows me to access these, but the website does not. It's worth the price, totally. I do wish they had some other shows (my hero, it crowd, etc), but it's still great shows. However I'd like to be able to access & handle my own info & options on the website.
2 ★I really wanted to like this app, and was very excited when I saw the commercials for it on TV. But in all honesty it's very unstable. It always fails to keep track of recently watched history, deletes shows saved to your watchlist everytime you open it, continue watching never works. Additionally searching shows using the categories is too simplified, as you only have about four to choose from, and there is no way to search more than one category at a time. Only good is the variety of shows.
1 ★Love the content but considering unsubscribing in search for a more reliable service. As others mentioned, the app just stops working (you get a grey screen or a loading screen) from time to time. This happened on Feb 5th, when it did not work for a day, and today again. I don't use it every day, so it is possible it doesn't work more often than just a few days a month. No response or apologies/refunds from developers. Please fix this.
1 ★App crashes every time I use it. I notified the developer of issues months ago. Got a nice thank you note. Only thing that's changed since then is it's actually gotten worse. Android back button now freezes. Have to hit home screen to close and restart. Can't cancel subscription in the app either. Have to go to the web site which has its own issues, like not being able to access your account until ALL half dozen or so of screens showing their entire program content has been drawn.
2 ★I enjoy britbox, on my TV. Until 2-3 weeks ago, I enjoyed it on my phone, then suddenly, it stopped streaming. I've contacted customer service and they've tried to help, but the app is still crazy on the phone. Looks like they need to rework the upgrades made in April, because the current version is missing something. I'll keep checking for updated versions, but until then, I'm uninstalling the app from my phone.
1 ★Catalog is mainly older shows. Video quality is lower than other services, player is lacking many features from better services, like picture in picture. Can't even tap away the play controls overlay, you just have to wait. Also audio gets off track occasionally. Fingers crossed this improves fast, because I really want to like this service. Get Channel 4 onboard for starters
1 ★Have been a subscriber for some time. Now, tonight, when trying to watch a show, I am told I do not have a subscription! I indeed do have a subscription! I did all the troubleshooting steps: restarted my device, updated the app, checked that my device has the latest software. All to no avail. I'm a very unhappy customer right now! I want to talk to a real person--not just send e-mails and wait for a response.
5 ★I'd really love to be able to adjust to full screen on my Galaxy S10+ but still no option to do that. Netflix and Tubi seem to be the only apps that I've found that allow it. Also, please add an "episode info option" under titles in your "Continue Watching" section so I have the option to select what episode I want to continue watching from. Otherwise, a great app and great content for viewing. --- Edit: Thanks for the fast reply! Adding another star for that alone! 😊
2 ★Terrible app. Shows don't autoplay, and I cannot find a way to make them do so. So you have to advance each episode manually. If you're casting to another device, it's especially awkward, because if you don't get to it quickly enough, it'll stop casting and you start all over. The app also crashes a lot, and sometimes refuses to load at all.
2 ★Great catalog, but the app needs work. Frequent playback issues (particularly when casting to a device). Slow and unresponsive at times. I also don't really like that it doesn't keep track of what episodes you've already watched, or pick you back up where you left off in the catalog. So you'll often times have to just remember what season and episode you left off on. I'm not sure who greenlit this app but they need to revisit. It's got the kind of quality I would have expected in 2005. Not 2021
2 ★The content is good, though many shows have only a few seasons licensed rather than the entire catalogue, which is misleading. However the bad rating is for the app itself. It doesn't matter how great the content is if you can't access it 50% of the time. I've had endless loading screens, buffering, random crashes, and "content not available" messages almost every day in my first weeks of using it, and no amount of reloading or reinstalling has helped. It seems to be server-side. Frustrating.
2 ★Giving 2 stars due to the absence of the fast forward & rewind not available on BritBox and lack of shows. I was excited when I found this app which supposedly is BBC & ITV shows together. Was disappointed that there is only a very small selection of shows. I think it may be better to keep streaming online then paying for this one. I thought this would be better but without the use of rewind/forward options & very little options on shows I don't think I will continue past the 7 day trial.
