Här kan du se en virtuell representation av hur området runt Kärnan såg ut på 1500-talet.Runt borgområdet står den gamla ringmuren som hade en omkrets på cirka 500 meter och som omgavs av 14 halvrunda försvarstorn.
Byggnaden med det gröna taket intill ringmuren var s:t Mikaels kapell. Rester av kappelte påträffades år 1900 men grävdes inte fram förrän 1932.
Runt tornborgen ser vi den tjocka mantelmuren och mantemurens trapphus som leder in till borgen. Gunden till mantelmuren trapphuset finns fortfarande kvar idag.
