Tsaqifa adalah sebuah metode alternatif pembelajaran baca tulis Al-Quran dengan 5x pertemuan untuk mengatasi buta huruf Al-Quran di kalangan muslimin. Metode ini dirancang khusus untuk orang dewasa yang belum mampu membaca Al-Quran atau untuk yang pernah belajar dan masih terbata-bata dalam membacanya.Adapun garis besar pengajaran metode Tsaqifa yaitu sebagai berikut :
Pertemuan Pertama
Bab pertama, pengenalan 18 huruf hijaiyah yang konsonannya sama dengan huruf latin. Huruf-huruf tersebut dirangkai menjadi sebuah kata dan kalimat yang mudah diingat yaitu “NAMA SAYA MALA ROSA & KATA WAJA TOKO SOFA ADA BAHAYA”.
Pertemuan Kedua
Bab kedua, pengenalan 10 huruf hijaiyah yang konsonannya tidak sama dengan huruf latin. Huruf-huruf tersebut dikelompokkan pada pendekatan kemiripan bentuk huruf dan kedekatan makhorijul huruf serta menganalogikan dengan kalimat yang mudah diingat. Dan bab ketiga, pengenalan tanda baca fathah, kasroh dan dhommah.
Pertemuan Ketiga
Bab keempat, pengenalan tanda baca tanwin yaitu vokal akhiran yang dibaca “an-in-un”. Dan bab kelima, pengenalan tanda baca mad yaitu bacaan panjang/vokal panjang “aa-ii-uu”.
Pertemuan Keempat
Bab keenam, pengenalan tanda baca sukun yaitu huruf asli/mati. Dan bab ketujuh, pengenalan tanda baca tasydid atau huruf ganda/dobel.
Pertemuan Kelima
Bab kedelapan, latihan membaca Al-Quran dengan beberapa tahapan cara, dari latihan melafadzkan perhuruf hingga perkata lalu perkalimat.
