Corría la década de los 70 (1971) cuando tuvo la autorización de salir al "Aire" en la frecuencia de 1160 klz. de amplitud modulada una nueva estación de radio comercial llamada RADIO PRESIDENTE bajo la administración del Dr. Julio Plaza Ledesma (Gerente-Propietario) y un grupo de locutores de un gran prestigio de aquella época...puedo nombrar algunos de ellos.. cómo Director General de la Estación el Sr. Guillermo Jácome Jiménez. sus hermanos Edgar y Javier Castellanos Jiménez, Pedro Rivadeneira, Alfredo Rivadeneira Valencia... entre otros que no "pasaron" la prueba de rigor (vocalización, dicción y respiración) y que luego tuvieron otra oportunidad los nuevos colegas , que despuntaron y ganaron "cancha" y tomaron rumbo a otra estaciones de radio. A inicios del 1972 pasa RADIO PRESIDENTE a otra nueva administración y nuevo Propietario...el Sr. Galo Hernández Navas (+), cuyo profesionalismo se notó desde un principio al darle otro cambio al sistema de radiodifusión al que tenía al inicio en la otra administración. El Personal fué la base para el triunfo y las iniciativas de cada uno de ellos con su aporte en cada una de las programaciones, claro está con la aprobación de Gerencia ( Sr.Galo Hernández N.(+) ) EL PERSONAL O STAF fueron en sus inicios los Srs. ALAN FLORES VALENZUELA, GERMAN CAMPAÑA UQUILLAS, FABIAN YEPEZ ARIAS, AUGUSTO TAYUPANTA ZURITA ,MARIO RENE ARIAS TAMAYO , FERNANDO BUITRÓN SALAZAR,WILSON CASTRO, FRANKLIN MORA NARANJO, VIKO FLORES Y JOSE LUIS BOLAÑOS CABEZAS.
