The Pit Pal is an all-inclusive BBQ app for your Android mobile device. It was built with the end goal of being able to help produce more consistent BBQ for backyard cooks, competitors, as well as caterers and restaurateurs.The Pit Pal enables more consistent BBQ through the use of historical tracking of cooks and results taking into account common BBQ variables such as the temperature and duration of the cook, or the sauce/rub combination, or even the type of wood used or the weather at the time of the cook. Tracking these variables allows the pit master to look back at previous cooks and continue to cook and tweak variables until the perfect combination is hit. And then have the data to replicate that combination at any time.
This is a technique that teams on the BBQ competition circuit have been using for years only with a pen & paper or excel spreadsheets. The intent of The Pit Pal is to take this technique, leverage technology to improve on it, and help people with a passion for BBQ produce great food.

5 ★Using this app to interface with the BBQ Guru Cyberq wifi on my Kamado Joe classic. Love being able to see the graphs! It allows me to visualize my cook! The time and temperature alerts are great! I also love being able to take notes. For improvements, numbers on the graph are hard to read and I can't get the set target probe temp to work.
5 ★*UPDATED REVIEW* All my issues have been corrected. Not sure why the temps were off but got with support this morning, they were willing to connect to my cyber-q and all if need be. It was working PERFECTLY this morning. I am now able to connect externally via hostname:port without issue as well. I have changed my review to reflect a 5 star rating, and purchased the pro version to unlock unlimited cook records. Great support guys!
2 ★Error communicating with stoker WiFi. All the time. It may not be pit pal but I never had this trouble on my iPhone. If it stayed connected, 4 stars. Good functionality for the 10 minutes that it works.
2 ★Notifications were intermittent, never consistent u can not set and forget. Also it does not auto refresh the temp so u have to hit refresh every time to see what the temp is
4 ★Good app. Love not having to write everything on paper. Only complaint is I wish it would sync up with my idevice probe. I'd even buy the pro version if it would. All in all good app though
4 ★Need to be able to edit cook info for those (like me) who can't remember to start app before lighting pit.
2 ★When configuring a cook, various fields and buttons are not intuitive, ex: is it the ambient temp, the current cooker temp, the goal temp? Needs better prompts for ease of use.
5 ★Works perfectly with my Cyber Q WiFi. Can check on my cook when I am out and adjust temps if needed. Also great to be able to check on a cook from bed at 3 AM rather than having to get up and heading outside to smoker.
5 ★This app is truly excellent for anyone wanting to track their cooks and is a necessity if you have a Cyberq.
4 ★Great app, wish I could run 2 pit probes at the same time. I would like to see a horizontal "goal line" on the cooking chart too. Like a threshold line for each probe.
4 ★Using it with a Stoker II and it does sync. I'd give it 5 stars if it had the ability to track all fans and sensors instead of just the one fan and two temperature probes.
4 ★I wish cook chart had larger numbers. Otherwise, it works great with my cyberq wifi
