Fondata nel 1908 come Associazione Calcio Enotria da un gruppo di studenti universitari di Porta Romana, nella primavera del 1914 partecipò al suo primo torneo ufficiale utilizzando il campo di Via Colletta angolo via Friuli (adiacenze Piazzale Lodi). Anima del sodalizio rosso-bleu fu per più di un ventennio "Papà" (Alessandro) Gaetani mentre per alcuni anni alla presidenza sedette il giornalista e grande sportivo Franco Scarioni (morto in Guerra nel 1918). Iscrittasi nella primavera del 1914 al Trofeo Primi Calci, torneo interregionale patrocinato dal bisettimanale torinese Lo Sport del Popolo, in assoluto il primo torneo giovanile Under 18 giocato con l'appoggio della F.I.G.C., superò le eliminatorie Lombarde (40 squadre, 440 giocatori e 52 riserve) e le vincenti del Piemonte (U.S. Juventus di Vercelli) e della Liguria (Pro Spada di Genova) battendole entrambe a Torino il 26 aprile 1914.Dopo aver dotato di recinzione il campo di Via Colletta, fu ammessa alla disputa del campionato lombardo di Promozione 1914-15, girone B mancando di un punto la qualificazione al Girone Finale Lombardo.
Durante la Prima guerra mondiale, malgrado la sospensione dei campionati nazionali, l'Enotria prese parte a numerosi tornei F.I.G.C. regionali mettendo in campo numerosi giovani che in seguito vennero schierati anche in tornei U.L.I.C. sotto le mentite spoglie di Insubria Goliardo. Proprio con la successiva e definitiva fusione con l'Insubria Goliardo, avvenuta nel 1919, acquisì il nome di Enotria Goliardo F.C..
Con la ripresa dei campionati del 1919-20, l'Enotria disputò uno spareggio per l'ammissione alla Prima Categoria, livello corrispondente all'attuale Serie A, con la Pro Patria et Libertate di Busto Arsizio: battendola per 2-0 il 5 ottobre 1919 la squadra milanese conquistò la promozione alla Prima Categoria 1919-1920. In quella stagione l'Enotria raggiunse il suo punto più alto quando, arrivata seconda nel Girone B lombardo dietro solo al Milan, conquistò le Semifinali del Campionato Nazionale, dove arrivò 6ª e ultima nel Girone C.
