1 ★Really awful! I can't use really the app because i can't retrieve my credentials. At the end I solved thanks to the Facebook help of the trenitalia operator who was able to reset my credentials. The issue was related to a my old registration with an old trenitalia card that was going in conflict with the freccia cards and only the operator was able to restore my situation. Anyhow the app has not the retrive credentials functionality and it is really bad.
5 ★Very well made app. It works nearly flawlessly, and it is very intuitive. It even shows the delays and the platform on which your train will arrive. Only downside is that it can be a bit slow during ticket purchase (at least when using PayPal).
1 ★Worst app and user experience ever. Couldn't create an account because of tax code. I tried to check out as a guest but payment wouldn't go through. I kept getting "Site is down for maintenance. Try again later." message for over 6 hours. Had to book using Italo which was probably a better decision any ways. Also after hearing about Trenitalia's lawsuit against Trenìt app, I will never book through them ever. Why would Trenitalia not share their train data with 3rd party devs?? Ridiculous!!
4 ★I am from India. while visiting Italy, all the train tickets from Rome to Trieste, Trieste to Pisa, florance, again to Rome are booked through trenitalia from India.. such a nice support and used to experience. thank you 🙏. by d way we booked all the tickets in u and me offer and got good discount.
5 ★Amazing improvement over previous versions! Now it's so easy to buy tickets and have the qr code ready for control. The interface for checking the path of a train while buying it could be improved but minor regarding the overall functionality of the app. Congrats!
3 ★Good app but its UI is a blame: it makes difficult also the easy tasks! e.g. Android back button does not work, app itself fresh re-starts after a while, every time I load a new page the keyboard opens even if without any form to fill, some app buttons are hidden. This talking only for the Purchase tab...
2 ★Jun 2021: I purchased tickets Fiumicino-Rome-Naples from the US, but when I paid, my schedule was off by one day. Be careful, because the app seems to use your local time instead of the departure/arrival location. It failed to warn me that I would not be able to change the date (for Fiumicino-Rome) before I purchased the trip. Update Mar 2023: No fingerprint/quick log in option. Adding favorites is a pain. It is not intuitive. Get a new UX designer. No Samsung Pay
1 ★Awful experience, The binario was about 1km away, so when I got there apparently the train was gone (which I don't believe) because I sat in the train and it was 30 minutes late so I had to take another train anf I had to pay again. NEVER gonna use it again cause had the same problem the last time. Definitely I do not recommend it if you are a tourist.
1 ★This app is so bad, not only it charge 20 eur and didn't send me the ticket (I had to pay twice). It's also really bad for forecasting the best connections, I used Google maps and saved myself 1.5 hours vs the best option of the app from Lucca to Milano.
1 ★Totally unreliable! We missed our train thanks to this useless app. Don't rely on it to follow a train's status (arrival/departure time/track). After waiting hours for our "late" train to arrive from Rome, it came and left (Firenze SMN) on a DIFFERENT track, ON TIME, without any announcement! We missed our Frecciarossa and were forced to buy new tickets (no refunds) on Regional trains, arriving 2.5 hours later! No available seats, so we're sitting on the stairs. No t.p. in toilet either!
2 ★Ticket management suffers from severe shortcomings since the last major update: tickets are updated every single time they are shown, causing tickets to be often not readily available in poor network conditions (which can often occur while traveling). Furthermore, tickets during the travel sometime mistakenly appear in the archive section.
1 ★Dreadful app. Tried to buy tickets from airport to Rome and payment taken but no tickets provided. Contacted "customer service" in Rome and assured the money was a hold and would be removed. It hasn't. Currently trying to find how to get a refund. Avoid!!
