Description

When you know what’s in the air you breathe, small changes make a big difference!

The Airthings Wave app connects to your Airthings View, Wave, and Hub devices bringing your home’s air quality data straight to your smartphone. It features:

- Color-coded indicators give you at-a-glance information about your air quality levels.
- Access to the web dashboard for detailed graphs to help you track and analyze changes in readings over time.
- Tips for addressing common indoor air quality problems.
- Information about current and projected pollen levels in your area, thanks to Breezometer.
- Access to the Airthings knowledge base and the customer support team chat.

Note that Wave Plus, Wave Radon and Wave Mini monitors use Bluetooth LE to connect to your mobile device to provide readings while you are within Bluetooth range. However, they do not connect directly to your home WiFi network to give you access to updated information when you are away from home. If you would like to enable WiFi access to your Wave monitor’s readings, you have a couple of options:

- Install an Airthings Hub and link your Wave monitor/s to it.
- Add a View series monitor to your home setup. These monitors connect directly to your home WiFi network and act as the WiFi hub for your Wave devices so that you can check updated information from all of your monitors, at any time, from anywhere.

If you have questions about using the app or any of our devices, please contact support@airthings.com.

At Airthings, we’re working to help the world breathe better and live better.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★this is a great device - when connects to device. I've had it for nearly a month now. once arrived it was a major challenge to connect the device via app to my phone. took hours and emails to the support team. device tacks levels every hour. however does not send to phone very often. I'm currently sitting beside device, nearly 40 hours behind in updates and a blank 4 hour segment. when updates - seems to only get 4 or 8 hours from device. then could be hours before another update.
1 ★App is unusable. Not only does it stop syncing in the background, it doesn't even sync manually!!! And when it does manually sync after an app restart, it does so by not even syncing to the latest data. The dashboards in the Android app don't show the timestamp of the latest synced data either, so you don't have a clear indication on how up-to-date the displayed data is. 200 bucks pissed down the drain.
2 ★Paid a LOT for a potentially useful item - it's just not ready yet. Rarely syncs properly unless I bump the side of the wave plus with my phone. So many gaps in the data I can't trust any of it. And this is for potentially health threatening information. That's why I spent so much on it. Now every time I sync it says there's a firmware update. Did that 4 times. Seriously unhappy about the entire thing so far. If this were a $50 device it wouldn't be that big of a deal but this was over $600!!!
1 ★As everyone else complains the sync never works well... I needed at least 20 minutes of trying to get it to sync. The history graph is all but useless... You can't tell the value in the tiny font. The stupid device itself has a detestable feature of beeping and alarm every 15 minutes after a month, usually in the middle of the night. 2019-May update: can turn off alarm in UI now if you can get it to pair. Pairing got better for a few updates but right now is even worse than ever!
1 ★App simply doesn't work. In one year, it lost history data and was unable to synch with their cloud many times. The device issues the loud audio message "welcome to Airthings" every few hours disrupting silence. After one year of usage I had to reinstall the app and remove and reintroduce my device which resulted in loss of one year of history. It's not worth your $200. This product should be recalled. Update: The company admitted the issue and sent me a new unit which introduced bigger issues.
1 ★The earlier version still somehow worked and BT synced at least after boot. Now nothing works. Please, don't do the mistake and update to this version. I am using Android 9 phone. However, if you still want to take the risk unistall first your earlier version and re-install this one. That enables it to function somehow, but not perfectly.
3 ★New version edit: Wow, the new dashboard looks quite good and sync seems more stable for now. I am cautiously optimistic for now, hopefully the sync issues are completeley gone. ----------- This has to be the single most unstable piece of junk ever made. Bluetooth connectivity never works first time, but at least it usually worked after like fifty attempts. Now it wont connect at all.
1 ★Constant sync problems. Says update available but never updated. Takes forever to get readings when it does sync. It doesn't support wave plus as it states in the desciption. I have both the wave and wave plus and have the same issues. I contacted the makers and after a number email going back and forth they were no help. Nothing better then spending $270 and wait 6 month for a device i can't hardly use.
1 ★I reinstalled the app when it failed to sync multiple times after restarting the phone, re logging in, turning on airplane mode for a time. None of the actions singly or in combination made it so the device will sync with my phone. I know my air quality is red by waving my hand over the Airthings, but I have no idea which item is the offender.
1 ★Sync extremely unreliable, fails even after reset/battery removal/app reinstall/etc, very frustrating - you would expect Bluetooth connectivity would be a rather straight forward task since it has been around so many years, Not So for Airthings it seems. This App needs serious attention from experienced developers. Good overall concept but Expensive hardware rendered useless without proper software. Used to work to some extent (tolerable) with previous app version. Layout cuts out digits.
3 ★Airthings Wave plus Hub setup wasn't possible for me through the Android version of this app. Wave & Wave Mini both appeared "Out of sync" despite running through the setup multiple times. Almost gave up, then pulled an old iPad out from a drawer and sure enough it took under 10mins to get it working using the IOS. Support later contacted me and offered suggestions to improve the experience in Android. A few days after setup it's now working. 5 stars to support, not the App
1 ★App freezes every time it's opened. Has to be closed and reopened at least four times to actually be able to tap the update icon. A fifth time to see the current conditions. Can only be used via bluetooth to get updated info? For as much as the Wave cost me I would sure enjoy being able to use it.
