Shalat lima waktu: Hukum shalat lima waktu adalah fardhu ’ain atas pribadi orang mukallaf , maka siapa yang menolak kewajiban shalat lima waktu, mereka adalah orang kafir. Bagi anak-anak supaya diperintahkan setelah mencapai umur 7 tahun dan hendaklah dipukul kalau meninggalkan setelah berusia 10 tahun.Hal-hal yang menjadi syarat sahnya shalat:1. Thaharaah (bersuci) dari kedua hadats (hadats kecil atau besar),
2.Thaharaah (bersuci) badannya, pakaian dan tempatnya shalat dari semua benda najis,
3. menutup aurat,
4. menghadap ke kiblat,
5. waktu shalat telah masuk.Aurat; yang termasuk aurat bagi orang laki-laki ialah anggota badan antara pusar sampai lutut, dan bagi perempuan merdeka (bukan hamba sahaya) ialah seluruh tubuh selain wajah dan kedua telapak tangan.Waktu-waktunya shalat:
1. waktu shubuh: dimulai dari menyingsingnya fajar shadiq hingga terbitnya matahari,
2. waktu dhuhur: dimulai dari tergelincirnya matahari hingga bayangan satu benda sama panjangnya dengan benda itu sendiri; selain bayangan istiwa’,
3. waktu ashar: dimulai dari habisnya waktu dhuhur hingga terbenamnya matahari,
4. waktu maghrib: dimulai dari terbenamnya matahari hingga hilangnya awan merah,
5. waktu isya’: dimulai dari hilangnya awan merah hingga menyingsingnya fajar shadiq.Waktu-waktu yang dimakruhkan melakukan shalat sunnah: Di makruhkan melakukan shalat sunnah tanpa sebab tertentu adalah ada 5 waktu selain dimekkah, yaitu:
1. sesudah shalat subuh hingga terbitnya matahari,
2. ketika terbitnya matahari hingga naik setinggi tombak,
3. ketika istiwa’ (matahari tepat berada ditengah-tengah) kecuali pada hari jum’at,
4. sesudah shalat ashar hingga terbenamnya matahari,
5. ketika menguningnya sinar matahari hingga terbenam.
