2 ★Amazing concept. Unfortunately really bad functionality. Gets stuck a lot. Frustrating when you need a ride.
1 ★The app is charging me for a ride that was already paid (I have the receipt as prove of payment) and because of that issue caused by the company/app, I am not allowed to schedule any new rides until I pay for a ride that is already paid. When I contacted customer support, messages and emails were ignored and the few that I actually receive some answer were generated automatically or some kind of template and I got ZERO help from Waze to solve the issue. Extremely disappointed! Worst service ever
5 ★Great alternative to if you're fed up with public transportation, however, sometimes it doesn't find riders or drivers. The person I caught a ride with sent me a link to join his carpool but when I opened the link it said that the details have changed or are no longer available even though it was within the time frame of the set time. He updated the time and it said the same thing again.
2 ★waze carpool should allow earlier drive. In winter storm time, both of us agreed to leave early, but I cannot find the option to start carpooling. It also displayed so many short distance carpoolers. It doesnt make sense to carpool 1-5miles, and I want option to filter by carpool distance. I suspect waze ranks carpoolers by detour time. I think it make more sense to rank by ratio of carpool distance / detour time. every update is worse than previous version.
1 ★App is tedious to use. It cant locate carpool drivers even though we all have the same pickup and drop off times set. The app will frequently crash when trying to complete a ride, so you are unsure if you are actually being charged or not. Customer support is unhelpful and eventually stops responding to questions.
1 ★VERY upset 😞 Very productive app and Linking up with great individuals getting to work early etc. But due to system wont connect to Google play account. Every time I tap email address link under add payment system flashes at top like processing then nothing happens never goes to next screen. I wish you just had option to pay directly like other ride sharing apps. I emailed and replies take 2 days. Im going to loose my carpool buddy because i cant add a payment account . So Disappointed ☹️
2 ★The idea is amazing and has tons of potential, but it's very frustrating to set up a ride, constant erros occur unfortunately. (1. can't find a driver very close to me location-wize. 2. when a driver sends an invite, the app often says the driver is not on my route, even when the pickup in on the same street, and destination the same, etc.). it take multiple tries back and forth until the ride can be set successfully =( This makes the app barely usable..
2 ★I love the concept of this app. I have been using it for a few months. But the last two weeks have been frustrating. Almost everytime I open it, it crashes. When it DOESN'T crash, even though I know I have matched with carpools, it will show I have no set carpools and that there are no one to match with. I will go to check my messages and that will trigger a crash. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting the cache, and contacting the developers. This is an accessibility nightmare.
5 ★Discovering this app has been a bless for me. I have some physical limitations and is getting hard to get around on public transportation, even when is free for me, as a student of local community college. But, I will continue using this amazing service as long I can pay for it. Also, I have met two great young man, awesome as persons and great human beings. There is still hope for our society! Thank you Waze Carpool!
4 ★Not sure why everyone is giving this app a 1 star. I have this and the GPS version of waze and it seems very easy to use. I love the set up and I also love how it notifies me of everything along my trip. No one has carpooled with me yet but I look forward to it.
2 ★App GPS and time estimates is the absolute worst. I'll open the app, refresh it and it'll tell me my carpool arrives in 2 minutes. I can even see the car icon is 2 blocks away on the map. Refresh app, same distance/time. I'll walk to the pickup point and all the sudden the time is now 12 min min and a few miles away. The map will usually show the car in the wrong location not progressing properly along its route. Scoop app is a bit better.
1 ★I live in Brooklyn, one of the most utilized car sharing areas in the country. I use uber & lyft frequently so this would be a no brainer but I CANT EVEN GET TO THE CREATING AN ACCOUNT STEP BECAUSE THE APP KEEPS SAYING NETWORK ERROR. Hopefully the glitch gets worked out soon so I can even try it... seems like a great idea. Then I'll be able to update this review if any improvements
