Situado en plena Axarquía, cuyo territorio es fronterizo con los montes de Málaga, y rodeado por encinares, jaras y retamas; en un paisaje en el que predominan los viñedos y donde abundan las casas de labor con paseros, de ahí que se le conozca como "Villa de la Pasa".El Borge se distinguió como un foco de rebeldía durante el levantamiento morisco. Este carácter rebelde del pueblo seguía aún vivo, algunos siglos después, en la figura del más famoso bandolero de Málaga: el Bizco de El Borge.
Pequeño pueblo de blancas fachadas encaladas y estampadas con el colorido de geranios y gitanillas colocadas en ventanas y balcones. Merece la pena pasear por sus sinuosas y estrechas calles, herencia de poblaciones musulmanas, especialmente por las calles del casco antiguo. La iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario es su monumento más emblemático. También son paradas obligadas del itinerario turístico el Arco de la Pasa, la Fuente del Cuerno y el barrio del Rinconcillo.
Su enclave geográfico le permitirá disfrutar tanto del turismo rural como de la costa ya que se encuentra a quince minutos de las playas de Torre del Mar y del Rincón de la Victoria.
El Borge es uno de los seis pueblos que forman la Ruta de la Pasa. Leyendas de bandoleros, vistas espléndidas y pequeños pueblos llenos de encanto donde aín se produce la que desde el tiempo de los árabes se considera la mejor pasa del mundo.
