3 ★I use this app to show my photos organized into folders on an external hard drive. It could be very helpful if this app could cache the photos in each folder. This would really enhance the user experience. Indeed it seems that photos are now loaded and quickly unloaded whenever you scroll and this is not ideal when you have large set of photos. Furthermore It would be very nice let sort the photos by name (now it is possibile only by date). Thank you in advance!
5 ★The app was great. I had a perfect link with my Google Photo Album. Recently, this seems no longer supported. Can someone explain how to use Google Photo album as source for a screensaver on an Android TV? About a year ago, I bought this app because it was fully integrated with Google Photo. Last week, the application blocked my TV. I had the delete all the cached setting and found out it does no longer support Google Photo :-( . 4 ★It would be nice if you could add an ability to make the displayed info (date, album name, track name etc.) movable. Or transparent. Or fade in and then fade out after the photo is changed. Or something else... For OLED displays it's critical, because now it stands in one place and it burns the display.
5 ★I love to watch my google photos for screensaver on my TV. but sometimes It is annoying me when I have to see inappropriate screenshots between family photos. Screenshots are not what I want to see on the photo frames. If there is an option for excluding PNG, almost case it could remove unwanted screenshots.
5 ★Fantastic app. I use this on my NVIDIA Shield TV to show my (local copy) of my personal photos. It displays useful info from metadata on the photo to include folder name, geo location and photo date along with the current time and integrates as an option replacing the existing Shield TV screen saver. Simple, intuitive and effective. Well done. I recently purchased the 2019 Shield TV Pro and had a problem getting the app installed. I worked with the developer to determine this was likely due to the Shield TV Pro shipping with an older version of the Google Play Store app. Installing the latest version appeared to allow installation of the app.
1 ★You'd think that granting Photo Gallery and Screensaver access to your photos and personal information would be enough to use a simple features, like viewing one's photos on your Android TV, for free. But no, it costs $2.99 to view ONE ALBUM. You can only view your Google Photos per album, not individual photos and videos. The UI was unresponsive when syncing. I had to completely uninstall it and reinstall the app to load changes to my albums. The search for a photo and video viewer continues...
4 ★Hi, I love the App, use it a lot, paid for it and had no complaints... until the blurred borders arrived. This is really making all photos look especially bad - please allow to disable these as soon as possible. Meanwhile, is there a way to downgrade to a previous version?
3 ★Loved the app, but it's limited to the 50 oldest photos for screensaver. When I tried to purchase the full version I keep getting an error on my TV, and since it's an in app purchase I have no other way to buy it. It think the app is easily worth the $2.50 but that doesn't matter if I can't actually make the purchase.
5 ★YOU MUST GET THIS APP! This app works so easily making your Android TV a collage display of your Google Photo albums. Any problems I've had I've contacted the author and have had a solution provided within 24 hours. You will not believe how amazing this app is and how much it can transform your room.
5 ★Hi can you provide some update as to when the app will work with the new 2019 Shield and Shield Pro? I purchased it and can install on all my devices including the 2017 shield with no issues and it works great on those devices. It's probably just some play store setting that is preventing it from showing up on the New Shield TVs so I am giving you a 5 start rating anyways because the app is good.
4 ★I like the app, works nice for photos, but I would appreciate little more focus on videos in Google Photos lib too. I cannot seek in video, it plays always from begging and arrows only push it to next item. Hope it's fixable.
1 ★I paid for the screensaver for my Nvidia Shield TV and it does not work. When the screensaver goes to kick in, it just makes my Shield go to sleep (I have checked the settings). So this app is useless and I threw away the $2+ for something that doesn't work.
