Have you got questions to discuss with your colleagues, clients or contractors?Share Your Design is the right on-line collaboration tool for teams scaled from two-person to a large group of people. It is simple as an email, historical like a blog, organized like a forum and works from everywhere where your mobile device works.
This is how it works:
SyD is an image driven app meaning you start any topic from an image taken by the camera of your mobile or by choosing an existing one from the camera roll. Each Message Board header contains its name, image and description as the base of the discussion. All project members can add unlimited comments to the particular topic including formatted text, web links and images. All the discussions are stored historically unchanged, for future documentation, but the Message Board header can be modified by its creator and by the project manager anytime. If there is a change on a Message Board, or there is a new comment added to it, then all the crew members will be notified about it via e-mail.
Share Your Design works off-line
If you are at a location where there is no internet (e.g. you work underground or on a construction site without signal), then everything works as normally. Anytime you find internet, just tap the Synch button, and all the changes will be refreshed with SyD’s central server.
For architects using ArchiCAD:
If you are an architect using ArchiCAD, then you can start sharing any view from the CAD application directly using Share Your Design web services. This way all design or construction that needs to be clearly clarified can easily be shared from your ArchiCAD. After sharing these views your parties can get the MessageBoards on the spot, and can collaborate instantly viewing the as-built construction.
So that’s the role of Share Your Design, the project collaboration tool. SyD helps you to follow all ongoing discussions about all your projects, to simply start new conversations or to close down ones that are clearly clarified. And all this is available from a simple web browser or by using this Android app from your device directly - on the site.
