La OJE está considerada educación no formal. En este ámbito, nos dedicamos a desarrollar actividades educativas, planificadas e intencionadas que se llevan a cabo en entornos no escolares. A través del juego en el tiempo libre conseguimos construir un mundo más amable con tolerancia, empatía o solidaridad.Para desarrollar un mejor enfoque pedagógico en OJE dividimos a los chavales en grupos pequeños por edades con una nomenclatura propia. Éstos se denominan flechas (de 6 a 10 años), arqueros (de 10 a 14 años), cadetes (de 14 a 17 años), guías (de 18 a 30 años) y guías-mayores ( 30 años en adelante).
Las actividades de OJE se diferencian y se clasifican en función de su contenido llamándolas ramas de actividad:
• Aire libre
• Deporte y recreo
• Cultura y arte
• Estudio y formación
En OJE solemos reunir en nuestros locales para realizar las actividades de fin de semana que pueden durar desde unas horas, hasta todo el día o un fin de semana completo como por ejemplo una acampada.
Sin olvidarnos de los campamentos de Semana Santa o Navidad, campamentos de verano, o también las actividades internacionales que se realizan a lo largo de todo el año.
