2 ★As many others have already commented, I love the contents but find the new update make it much worse - cannot download automatically now and the issue of loop playing. I also can't go forward to a particular section of the prayer. Beautiful pictures but not sure it is necessary. I much prefer the old one - simple but usable. Please bring back the old one, or at least have the features of the old one.
5 ★I've really enjoyed using this app. It's not prescriptive in its thinking, it's invitational. I love that I can read what's being shared, including the lyrics of the song used that day, and hone in on the thought or question that's grabbed my interest. I do agree that not everything is intuitive but if you know about swiping back you CAN get to the menu without playing the daily prayer.
5 ★The content has always been fantastic, and the recent update has made it much more aesthetic and easy to use. They have fixed a lot of the bugs (I use a Samsung), which means I'm exploring more of the features on the discover page too. Doesn't seem to be working for everyone though, but it's absolutely worth a try. I've been listening to the daily prayers in between jobs and on the bus and it really makes the day feel more spiritual.
3 ★Worship songs need some changes. Alot of the songs in the intro are too exotically ritualistic and as a young guy who grew up on contemporary christian music & worship in learning about worship and God, I find them hard to connect to and prepare for the subsequent readings, meditations and contemplations, especially the songs in Latin and other language. The difference in language is already difficult to connect, the music and tunes of the songs are at times too depressing and even too Gothic.
1 ★I've been using Pray as you go on my Android device for seven years. But the new version has led to me stop using it as it is so unintuitive. Now when the app opens it only gives me one option - Play - if I want to find anything else I have to click play, stop the podcast and only then can I get to the menu for other features. Surely it should be possible to reach the options from the front-page!! Up until now I have downloaded the week's prayers in the app on WiFi this option has disappeared
1 ★Please reinstate the old version of the app. Since the major update things *look* nicer but in almost every way the app is unusable. Same issues as others have noted. I am uninstalling it now - too many frustrating experiences trying to use the app, which is precisely the opposite of what one looks for from a 'prayerful' app. I will check again in c. 3 months time to see if things have improved with the app. It's a shame as the content has always been really wonderful.
3 ★I have loved using the content in PAYG since 2008, but since the redesign (backwards in most aspects) I now access the prayers via their website through my browser instead, which is a bit better than the app. When I need to download for offline use when traveling, I used to be able to download a week and listen through the app. Now a week's download is a zip file, so I have to download the days individually in stead and access them via Downloads to listen via a separate mp3 app. Frustrating!
1 ★I have used the old App for years and loved it, but sadly I cannot say the same for the new version. The audio cuts out, you cannot delete downloaded days. Rubbush bin doesn't work and you cannot access the menu before starting and then stopping the recording for the day. Unless these bugs can be fixed quickly I will sadly uninstall the app.
5 ★This is a very good app to support you to connect with Jesus in a meaningful way. There are daily prayers, and also additional material. I love the psalm 23 prayer.
2 ★I used previous version daily and appreciated its simplicity. I have delayed reviewing new version in the hopes that bugs would be overcome with updates but it seems to be an overly ambitious attempt released prematurely. An app for meditation now causes frustration, stops midstream, plays two days simultaneously etc. In this case, simple enhancements to the original would have been preferable. Updated: unfortunately, glitches still prevalent and disruptive. Disappointed.
2 ★I'm feeling frustrated with the updated version, but for one reason only: I can pause the daily moment , but can't resume. The play button is unresponsive. I pause it for various reasons including handling background noise. This app is otherwise a great part of my day, and I hope the fix is easy.
2 ★Thursday, April 12 had to uninstall, sorry. It's stalling and starting over and looping a lot these days. Using WiFi LG G6. Anyone else noticing this ?? ----- The app is wonderful but when my data switches to 128 Kbps I can't stream the large files and when I click the download option it never seems to work. It sometimes lets me buffer the stream but if it gets stuck and I click Pause or FF it starts over at the beginning. Otherwise beautiful day app thanks and God bless everyone 🌸
