Description

Viewer for fractals like the mandelbrot set, lyapunov fractals and complex functions supporting intuitive pinch-to-zoom with many features.

A re-implementation of Fractview called "Fract" is also available on the play store.

* View fractals like the mandelbrot set, julia set, burning ship, newton fractals, lyapunov fractals, phoenix fractals, pendulum simulation and complex functions.
* Zoom/Shear fractals using intuitive pinch-to-zoom gestures
* Set your own functions or transfers
* Pick from a large selection of (re-) combinable samples.
* Modify colors using an intuitive drag-and-drop palette editor (support for two dimensional palettes, using LAB color space).
* Use 3D-mode, branching also for eg the newton fractal.
* Generate images with an arbitrary resolution.
* Save and share your images.
* Share specifications of fractals with others
* Add your favorites and pick up from old ones.
* Uses Renderscript to generate images on GPU (speed-up of at least factor 10 compared to FractViewLite).

The following blog highlights certain topics on the app: https://fractview.wordpress.com/
Check out the following video for a short overview over some of the features: https://youtu.be/M3ZdPJykk9k

The app supports very intuitive gestures like pinch-to-zoom (moving, rotation, scaling and even shearing using up to 3 fingers). The philosophy is similar to Google Maps - moving a finger moves the point below it accordingly.

The app itself contains presets for newton fractals, orbit traps, lyapunov fractals, even pendulum simulations (https://nylander.wordpress.com/2007/10/27/magnetic-pendulum-strange-attractor/), or simply view complex functions using the color wheel coloration. All these presets contain parameters that allow you so easily enter custom functions. There is support for all kinds of functions (from exp to log, from sin to atanh) and even derivates are generated automatically.

There is an intuitive editor for (2-dimensional) color palettes using the LAB-Colorspace. Images can be saved (as pngs) and shared. Furthermore, you can save the fractal description and send it to others to share your work. The app furthermore includes an intuitive bookmark system with the possibility to export your saved favorites.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★the game is very fun. I love it
5 ★Fun Fact: It's possible for the mandelbrot formula to be a complex number.
3 ★Not enough detail
5 ★Please Add Mobius Mandelbrot :)
4 ★It seemed like a pretty good app for, fractal art? Fractal viewing? I'm nottoo sure what it is or does exactly, I guess it just let's you look at abunch of fractals and zoom in unbelievably close. Which that aspect wascool, I must say. The zoom seemed to go on forever and the closer you gotthe more you see! It's like the fractals were made with fractals that weremade with fractals, and so on. If psychedelic art and vivid colors are yourthing then don't pass this up.
4 ★A wonderful app for zooming in fractals! Everything is perfect for such anapp on a mobile device. However, I am wondering why black spots appear onthe edges of some parts (which are still within the range of precision)after I zoom in a few times. They cover a significant portion of the zoomtarget and it forces me to look for somewhere else to zoom. Otherwise, anamazing app for playing with fractals!
5 ★Anyone intrigued by fractals will love this app. Seemingly simple at first but once you dive in the possibilities are endless. Love the ability to save and instantly set pictures as wallpaper. I feel the app is greatly under appreciated!! If there was more in the way of tutorials available, that may be of some help, since there are just so many possibilities within the app.
2 ★This app would be great if you had a guide or someway to know what doeswhat. I find myself editing values very slowly in hopes that I don't turnthe picture all blue
5 ★WOW! This app is incredible, a creator's dream! So many options it's almostoverwhelming but not frustrating. I have a great appreciation for everyoneinvolved in developing this app, nice job, great work and many thanks!
5 ★Doing fractal art for years, I've used a few generators with varying successes. This app does well in rendering deep, high iterative, colorful fractals. Fully customizable as far as function and performance (i'm rendering 4K fractals on a Samsung Galaxy S7). It will use your phone hardware to the max. A 25MB render used 22% of my battery in only a few minutes. It was worth it. Grab this app!
4 ★This is a really cool app. The only problem i have with it is that when youzoom in too far everything gets really glitchy.
5 ★I really like this app, it's clear the author is passionate about fractals and the ability to add new content is great. If I could, I'd like to see the ability to save images at higher resolutions (it won't export to Samsung S8 resolution), have the ability to explore Mandelbrot and Julia sets using a split screen and have the ability to adjust common parameters such as iteration without going through the menus each time which is a bit of anoying.
