1 ★The app was bad before, but after the UI update it is absolutely abysmal. Not allowing a user to see a movies information from the cinemas tab is both unintuitive and nonsensical, and being unable to see showtimes when you expand a movies information after filtering by cinemas is the same. Please read up on both Human Computer Interaction and on Mobile Design before attempting to fix your app, though at this point it is doubtful that you are capable of creating anything decent.
1 ★the app build is absolutely terrible. It's so hard to navigate and the payment method is the worst. I will get re-directed to the FNB payment system and complete a successful transaction however I wont be directed back only to be given an unsuccessful message. Fix your system!
1 ★The app has payment problems. You never know if the payments were successful because the application hangs on a blank screen. And if it is not successful, it blocks rewards cards from trying to book a movie again.
1 ★The app has ONE job - book movie tickets. 50% of the time it cannot do this due to technical difficulties. Even when finally able to book tickets often the payment system malfunctions and hangs. Then you get confirmation tickets are bought but the app claims the payment did not go through. USELESS
3 ★Very moody app. When its working it works well and when it ain't it's the most frustrating app on the planet. Always having issues with bookings. App will say payment not successful yet I get an sms confirming transaction and an email from Ster Kinekor confirming the booking yet the app thinks the payment didn't go through. If SK spent a bit more time or hired IT guys who knew what they were doing this app would b 5 star for sure.
2 ★The app still needs a lot of development. On more than one occasion I had to abandon paying through the app because its frozen on the final payment page. It takes longer to reveal movie art work--especially artwork.
5 ★After many years of trying to get it right, Ster-Kinekor have finally done it! This app is awesome! You can also buy tickets and snacks here. The app remembers your loyalty cards & payment/ccard info, and provides a barcode ticket which you scan at the cinema to enter. No more queues or paper. Awesome!! Well done SK.
1 ★using Samsung S9 and it always just hangs when it comes to the payment page. tried to refresh and nothing. tried closing and rebooking and then can't use Vitality cards anymore because it says that I've watched this movie. hate this app. it's pretty much a hit or miss situation here. please fix app
1 ★You'd think in an era where illegal downloads and streaming have affected your business model, you would at least ensure those still actually watching movies would receive an uncomplicated, easy experience! App crashes at least 5 times whilst trying to book. never confirms purchase and end up calling the call centre to be emailed the tickets. movies do not show up when they are definitely showing at a specific cinema. Waste of time and website no better.
1 ★The worst application ever created, it's almost as if Ster Kinekor is looking for new ways to lose customers. I downloaded the app and it immediately crashed, after that i have to wait 15-20 minutes before i can try continue with the transaction on another platform. Deleted the app immediately for peace of mind.
4 ★I love the app it's extremely better than the website. Seriously fix your website. One problem though is that after 10 at night when you want to view the next day movies it doesn't show at all. It like the app is set to go off after the last show is screening.
