Description
Cthulhoid wants to be your mobile companion for all things related to the Cthulhu Mythos and horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. It contains the complete works of H.P. Lovecraft (except some collaborations), including stories, poetry and essays, as DRM-free eBooks, a directory of publicly available H.P. Lovecraft audiobooks. a categorized index of Wikipedia pages related to the Cthulhu mythos and a detailed timeline of the Cthulhu Mythos. The UI is optimized for phones.Unless your device has pre-installed software for this, you will need to install an e-reader app for viewing the eBooks and an audio player to listen to audiobooks.
Important: if you are having problems opening the eBooks, this is very likely because your eReader software has trouble opening the EPUB files (which are contained within the app and copied to the SD card to make them available to other software), for whatever reasons. If this keeps happening, please try a different eReader software (such as the free Aldiko reader) and check in your system settings which app is configured for opening EPUB eBooks by default.

This app needs permissions to access the internet in order to download the audio recordings and write access to external storage (SD card) to export resources to make them available to other (viewer) apps. Cthulhoid doesn't use ads and doesn't record or transmit any usage or user data.
Content and user interface of this app are english only! Please don't give me a hard time because the stories are in english, I'm not a translator and translated versions are usually not in the public domain.

How to install Cthulhoid APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download Cthulhoid APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files

5 ★This has to be one of the most comprehensive collections of H.P. Lovecraft's works I've come across. It really says something when the phonebook-sized "complete" compilation of Lovecraft's fiction I have doesn't have as many of his works as this app does. If I were to give one complaint, however, it would be that the audiobook section is rather messy at the moment, but, all-in-all, this is a very well-done app and a must-have for any fan of the Cthulhu mythos. Cthulhu fhtagn!
5 ★Download Aldiko reader to access the files. This information is buried deep in the above description and no other reviewers I've noticed have thought to mention this. Other than that, excellent app, extensive collection.
5 ★I was somewhat new to Lovecraft's world, this has so much information, so many audio books, I'm addicted! I am very thankful to the developers, this is awesome.
3 ★A good collection but upon my first browse I noticed under Wikipedia/Films The Dunwitch Horror is not listed. Nor are a few other inspired or adapted works.

5 ★I was stunned to discover such a usefull compendium lurking in the trivial wasteland of the google playstore. Arcane and obscured by time and the fog of cheap thrills and cgi novelties, Lovecraft has influence that spans cultures and decades.
4 ★Great source of Lovecraft prose and poetry. Sadly selections either incomplete or do not fully load. Works better but slowly with Allison reader, less well with Google books. Whatever happened to the promised updates? Just a few additions, corrections and revisions would make this free app not only perfect but worth the purchase.
1 ★When using the option to download the audio book versions to the SD card the app downloads a file that is completely unreadable by any mp3 player, even though the file is labeled as an MP3... what exactly is this app downloading into my phone? and what is it doing with my information?
4 ★Was not prepared for how in-depth this Lovecraft app allows the user get in to the mythos. Providing links and downloads. I'm am impressed and Bravo.
4 ★This is an amazing collection of all things Lovecraft, but the collaborations with C. M. Eddy, Jr. are absent due to copyright issues (Ashes / The Ghost-Eater / The Loved Dead / Dead, Dumb and Blind).
