Die vorliegende App richtet sich an alle Naturbegeisterten, Schüler, Studenten der Zoologie, Umweltbeauftragte, Naturschützer, Ornithologen, Tierparks, Jäger und Tourismusverantwortliche.Die Inhalte stammen aus Wikipedia, der freien Enzyklopädie, wobei Wert darauf gelegt wurde, alle Quellen präzise zu nennen und zu verlinken. Die Auswahl der Tiere richtet sich nach der Häufigkeit der Vorkommen oder der Wahrscheinlichkeit diese beobachten zu können. Die Säugetiere, Reptilien und Amphibien sind fast vollständig erfasst. Sie sind entsprechend ihren hauptsächlichen Lebensräumen oder ihrer Klassifikation gegliedert.
Jedes Tier ist ausführlich beschrieben und bebildert. Wo verfügbar sind auch die Tierstimmen zu hören und es ist ein Video verlinkt.
Die App funktioniert offline und online.
Eigene Beobachtungen können in Wort, Bild, Audio und Film zu jedem Tier hinzugefügt werden. Im Weiteren verfügbar sind eine Suche, Merklisten und Favoriten.
Die Grund-App ist lediglich 15 MB groß; die einzelnen Tierarten können je nach Interesse dazu geladen, aber auch wieder gelöscht, werden.
