Hasan, Shayaan, Itesham, Luay and Shakil from Denbigh High School in Luton wanted to create an app that would help make a positive difference in the lives of young carers across the UK. weKonnekt helps young carers tackle isolation by enabling them to connect with others like themselves and access support services in their local area.FEATURES

weKonnekt won the People’s Choice Awards powered by Essence at the Apps for Good Awards 2015, the national competition for Apps for Good students. As an Apps for Good Awards winner, the team worked with development agency Gourmet Pixel to have their app built professionally and launched on the market, with the support of Apps for Good and Essence.
