Description
El Centro Expositivo ROM está ubicado en el Monasterio de Santa María la Real de Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia).Abrió sus puertas el 5 de julio de 2006, tras dos años de intenso trabajo y conforme a un nuevo concepto de mostrar el arte románico al gran público.
El ROM quiere ser, ante todo, un valor añadido a ese gran recurso que es el arte románico de nuestra comarca, donde patrimonio monumental, natural y humano configuran una unidad indisociable.
Además de adentrarse en el románico, el ROM también tiene como objetivo dar a conocer la época, el estilo de vida en ese momento y qué nos ha llegado a nuestros días de esa sociedad.
En definitiva, nuestra intención es que sirva como una ventana a través de la que el visitante accederá a nuestros caminos, pueblos, iglesias, tradiciones, paisajes, gastronomía o gentes.
Desde el ROM queremos que visites el Monasterio de Santa María la Real y nuestro románico de una forma diferente. Para ello hemos diseñado diferentes tipos de visitas para que nos conozcas de la forma que más te guste.
Nuestro objetivo es que, durante el recorrido por nuestra abadía, el visitante consiga alcanzar la premisa de la triple E: Emoción, Entretenimiento y Educación.
