Description
lBochs is a port of the Bochs X86 emulator (http://bochs.sourceforge.net).The modified bochs sources are included as a tgz archive stored in the internal SD card (Android/data/lb.myapp.lbochs).
I provide a floppy with freedos just to make the emulator boot after app installation.
I provide also a virtual HD ready to use for OS installations.
It's possible to create shortcuts for different systems (if the home launcher allows it).
It's possible to set the emulator run on a specific cpu model (386/486/586/686/686X64), but the configuration must be chosen wisely or the app will crash badly.
A smart way to use the app is to create the VM on PC and then copy it inside the android device.
If you plan to put the virtual machines in the external SD card, be aware that Android>=4.4 grants write access to the app only under /Android/data/lb.myapp.lbochs/files.
Please note that this is a sort of nerd-oriented app, probably useless for the average android user.
You need a quite fast phone/tablet because the emulator is slow.
A virtual PC keyboard is provided, but you can use your own virtual keyboard if you like.
All the settings are made through a popup menu with quite many options.
The back button opens the menu.
The app is still considered in a sort of beta/testing stage but is already quite usable.
Multiprocessing
Version 2.0 introduces multiprocessor support. In Bochs all emulated cores run in a single thread, so a multiprocessor emulation IS NOT faster than a single processor emulation.
Usually it is slower. Then multiprocessor emulation has nothing to do with the number of cores in your device. The app has no control in which cores Android uses.

The app seems quite stable to me, but it's easily possible to make it very unstable and it may crash immediately if the user plays too much with the configuration, or if the guest system is not managed well.
It's possible that you have to reboot your Android device in some cases.
It's possible that in some cases you have to uninstall and reinstall the app to make it work again.
Than the app may drain your battery quickly, but this depends on the configuration (emulated cpu cycles).
It's possible that the device CPU becomes stressed causing overheating.
So use it at your own risk.

5 ★In first i couldn't find the option to install windows xp- simplified of course. But when I did i was very impressed, as for now is the best PC emulator for my samsung s20. If you will improve the app guys, i am ready to pay money for it....

3 ★Running XP Home well, and if you can help me get Internet on it through my phone, I will give it 5 stars and rave review. I have it running on My S8 with Android 9 with a Pentium 4 80 Hz 140 MHz 256 MB Ram simulated machine with XP Home Edition OS. The Sim Realteck Ethernet Adapter says it is working fine and has a working Network, but it receives no Internet from my S8 even though my S8 always has Data on. The sim Communication port (Com 2) says it had no drivers - significant? Pls Help!
4 ★I really like this app because if you want to you can run 32bit versions of windows, I was able to run windows NT 4.0 Workstation without any problems.
2 ★I dont know why but this app is slow as hell, I tried increasing the MIPS but couldnt go past 2147 without it changing to some negitive number, also I had spent nearly 6 hours trying to get windows 8.1 on it just for it to crash when i fullscreened the app turned off my phone, then turned it back on, at this point i consider to rather emulate os'es on something like a raspberry pi. Highly dont reccomend
5 ★Hi this app works greate. It runs Windows XP on my Galaxy S20 with minimal latency. But somehow the sound card driver can not be installed, i choose SB16 sound card. Could you help?
2 ★I really appreciate that it has almost 4 GB of RAM, but it always crashes after I have Windows XP fully installed. Using Galaxy S9+ running Android 9.
5 ★It's a great x86 emulator one of the best ones that I have seen would like to see USB functionality via OTG USB but so far it's great.
5 ★just needed to choose the right bios, now i can run the W2K kinda slow, but in working order. setting IPS over the limit makes it go to negative values, but that's just a minor bug.
