How to install HT Community Challenge APK on Android phone or tablet?

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

1 ★Runs slow, and I'm unable to attach a photo from my device.

1 ★I can't attach photos! So annoying. I made sure it was not a permissions problem but it has permissions to photos through my phone. In the ITT settings though it shows " permission denied". I've tried everything. I give up.

1 ★Worst app and program ever. App does not work properly - won't allow you to attach pictures and takes forever to log any activity. The program points system is just as bad. If you were able to get people to sign up, you get the most points and is pointless for anyone else to compete. It also makes no sense that 4 oz of eater gets you the same amount of points as 32 oz. Log 4 oz get 50 pts. Log 32 oz get 50 pts. BUT log eight 4 oz (which equals 32 oz) you get 400 pts. So dumb! Already uninstalled

1 ★Downloaded app and enrolled to participate, but was not asked to create password. However, I need a password to log in.

1 ★Using this app is a very frustrating experience comparing with the last year's experience. Some futures are blocked such as the "Maps," some work inconsistently such as the "Discover/List" which doesn't allow gaining access to group activities neither gaining double points for these activities. ITTCC tech support is not helpful implying they cannot replicate the issue.

3 ★I keep getting messages to update the app but it isn't an option.

1 ★Very demoralizing. Not consistent. Gives points takes away points. Created points of interest randomly appear and disappear. Says to update but there's no update available. Great idea but horrible execution.
