O Instituto do Câncer Infantil do Agreste (ICIA) é uma entidade sem fins lucrativos. O objetivo da organização é proporcionar tratamento, amenizar o sofrimento de crianças com câncer, oferecer apoio e atendimento gratuito e multidisciplinar para pacientes e familiares.Em 19 de setembro de 2003 Dr. Luiz Henrique Soares reuniu um grupo de quarenta pessoas, entre médicos, comerciantes, profissionais liberais, empresários, para fundar, em Caruaru, o Instituto do Câncer Infantil do Agreste, o ICIA.
As primeiras iniciativas para arrecadação de recursos e disseminação de informações sobre o câncer infanto-juvenil surgiram com campanhas como a Caminhada pela Vida, que é realizada desde 2004 e a Caravana Diagnóstico Precoce, que atinge a todo interior do estado de Pernambuco.
