Description
Una App per il Medico di Medicina Generale alle prese con pazienti con rinite.L’obiettivo è di fornire al Medico di Medicina Generale uno strumento di semplice esecuzione per valutare in pazienti con rinite la probabilità che ha un paziente di essere affetto da una forma allergica e quindi la necessità di eseguire i test allergologici, ricordando al paziente che l’unico fine per l’esecuzione di un test diagnostico per l’allergia respiratoria è quello di iniziare un trattamento specifico di immunoterapia. Questa scelta sarà fatta dall’Allergologo in base a criteri clinico-laboratoristici.
Il risultato espresso dalla App è dato da un algoritmo ottenuto dall’analisi di un database di pazienti affetti da rinite che sono stati valutati nell’Ambulatorio di Allergologia del Dipartimento BioMedico di Medicina Interna e Specialistica (Di.Bi.MI.S) di Palermo.
Questa App, è il frutto di una ricerca clinica che è stata oggetto di tre pubblicazioni, in Riviste Internazionali, alle quali hanno partecipato numerosi medici ed in particolare la dott.ssa Maria Stefania Leto-Barone e la dott.ssa Simona La Piana

La diagnostica allergologica ha un costo e quindi questo strumento potrà razionalizzare i costi diretti del paziente ed indiretti del Sistema Sanitario legati a questa patologia che ha una prevalenza stimata nella popolazione generale che supera il 20%.
La App è gratuita e può essere utilizzata solo da Medici iscritti agli Ordini Provinciali dei Medici, immettendo la parte numerica del proprio codice ENPAM.
La realizzazione dell’App è stata possibile grazie al contributo erogato dal Dipartimento BioMedico di Medicina Interna e Specialistica (Di.Bi.MI.S).
Il progetto è stato approvato e sostenuto dai componenti della Task Force Evidence Based Medicine della Società Italiana di Allergologia Asma ed Immunologia Clinica (SIAAIC).
