Quella di Vesuvya è una lunga storia che affonda le sue radici nei sapori di una città simbolo nel mondo non solo per la pizza ma per le molteplici specialità gastronomiche : Napoli. L'avventura inizia con un'attività di distribuzione alimentare all'ingrosso, prodotti semplici , genuini che spaziavano dai pomodori al baccalà , dalla mozzarella di bufala agli insaccati , dal tonno alle conserve. Alimenti apparentemente lontani ma fortemente legati da un unico filo conduttore : la voglia di portare questi profumi e la cucina tradizionale di questa città in tutta Italia e magari... nel mondo.Scegliere i sapori più veraci, i prodotti più buoni che potessero soddisfare i palati più esigenti non era cosi facile, e spesso ci si affidava al consiglio del familiare, della zia o della nonna profonda conoscitrice delle ricette, degli ingredienti e dei segreti di questi piatti famosi in tutto il mondo.
Cosi, nacque la tradizione di riunirsi in banchetti tra parenti ed amici e mentre la nonna raccontava del pizzaiolo Raffaele Esposito e di come era nata la pizza margherita venne l'idea di aprire un ristorante , che permettesse a tutti , anche se lontani dal Vesuvio , di poter vivere questi momenti speciali.
