고신대학교 문헌정보관은 이용자의 요구를 충족시키기 위해 지속적인 프로그램 개발을 위해 최선을 다함으로써 하나님 영광을 위해 충성할 인재양성을 추구하는 고신대학의 이념을 실현하기 위한 정보센터의 기능과 역할을 담당 하겠습니다.1947년 창설된 고려신학원 도서관(부산시 광복동 1가 7번지)과 1954년 창설한 칼빈학원 도서관(부산시 감천동)이 1965년에 합병하여 고려신학교 도서관(부산시 서구 암남동 34번지)이 되었습니다. 이후 고신의 역사와 함께 계속 발전하여 1984년 3월2일에 영도 캠퍼스에 새로이 대학도서관으로서 체계를 잡고, 마침내 1994년 4월에 지금의 문헌정보관 건물을 신축하기에 이르렀습니다.
1995년 도서관 전산화를 시작하여 2010년에는 새로운 도서관리 전산화 시스템을 도입하여 타 대학도서관 및 학술기관까지 방대한 자료를 효과적으로 수집, 활용함으로써 정보 제공서비스를 극대화하고 있습니다.
