- Once onboard, set your device to flight mode and connect to the Virgin Australia WiFi network (you also need to do this to connect to the internet, but that’s a separate process, see the card onboard for more info about this). When connected to the onboard WiFi network, launch the app and start exploring the hundreds of hours of entertainment. We know you will find something to binge on.
- We add lots of new titles every month, there’s also daily news, weekly episodes/podcasts and special event bulletins too.
Top Tips: Please do check for updates before you fly, make sure your device is fully charged and consider bringing a battery pack for longer flights and don’t forget your ear buds!

1 ★It doesn't have access to your previous or updated purchases with Virgin Australia. You have to redeem points and it's too troublesome to go through the stupid processes of finding the right link to redeem points because the layout is too confusing. Make it simple, membership number must contain all purchases made and have points redeemed and updated automatically!!
1 ★Absolute rubbish. Why can I see ads but then the actual content doesn't work??!! The app is up-to-date, have tried reinstalling, and still doesn't work. Can get to the browser and it plays pre-roll ads but not the actual videos... What's the point?
1 ★WiFi connection keeps dropping every few minutes. It's rubbish and I wonder why a simple streaming app in a closed network cannot be made to work a by a large airline like Virgin. With so many similar negative feedback, I reckon Virgin already knows the problem but I guess they have no idea how to fix the issue.
1 ★This app and in flight entertainment is enough to make me reconsider ever flying virgin again. I don't think it manned to load more than 30 seconds of the movie before buffing another 30 seconds in my entire 5 hour flight. I don't think I have ever had a worse experience with an airline. It's basically tiger air bit you pay more for it.
1 ★App was 5 stars until recently changed to web browser which is slow and sensitive to navigate, always accidentally opening the wrong things when you browse. Also I'm not able to watch movies anymore as it says i need to download the app... which I already have! Very unlike Virgin to have such a dodgy product.
1 ★edit: so, they're aware of ongoing issues and still advertise and charge it the same as a proper entertainment setup... --- Constant buffering. Can't watch movies without it paying to load every 20 seconds. Very limited selection of movies and tv shows. Much better off just adding your own movies to your device before getting on the flight.
1 ★This has to be the worst app ever!!!!! The last 6 months or more of flying with Virgin, I've never got the entertainment app to work. I've talked to the staff, no connection available EVER!!! Since this was updated awhile ago, no connection!!!! Surely you can sort this out. If I could give 0 stars I would!!! Flights- Sydney to Sunshine Coast Sydney to Brisbane Brisbane to Adelaide Brisbane to Cairns. All return flights......
1 ★Reinstalled on flight, had to spend 12.99 for wifi, and app opens but says can't connect to inflight, does this as soon as you press play on the selection you want to watch. Spend the whole flight bloody trying to connect. Very fustrating. Grrrr, 😖, today's technology should be piece of cake.
2 ★Not all movies play in the app. I select the movie and get an error telling me to open it using the app. This is after I opened the app that redirects me to a web page to select the movie. Other movies play fine. Connectivity is usually ok on the few flights I have used it.
1 ★DONT BOTHER - BUFFERS CONSTANTLY. I fly regularly and check everytime to see if theyve attempted to fix the app at all but it doesnt seem like they intend to. Horrible experience, your content will buffer every 15-20 seconds. If you leave a review they ask for your flight details and then do nothing about it Edit - My flight details were included in my previous review (9th Sept), I updated my review after having to go through the same torture in my flights to and from NZD. VA 188 7th Oct.
2 ★Web browser is clunky and buggy. Takes forever to load something and then doesnt load it properly. Switches into play view when you are trying to browse sideways really easily. Disappointing this is the only inflight entertainment on some flights. Next time I will just download some netflix content in advance.
1 ★Have enjoyed using this in the past. On last nights flight it just would not work at all. Kept wanting me to download the app to be able to watch a movie. App was already loaded and had latest update. Yet on arrival home it opened perfectly. Very frustrated.
