La ciudad de València ha sido la elegida para la celebración del II Congreso Nacional de Gestión de Residuos de Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos (RAEE). La cita tendrá lugar en el Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía los días 4 y 5 de octubre. En este lugar se darán cita los actores involucrados en la gestión de los RAEE: productores, distribuidores, gestores de residuos y administraciones públicas.Los organizadores de este encuentro medioambiental son los Sistemas Colectivos de Responsabilidad Ampliada del Productor de Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos (SCRAP): AMBILAMP, ECOASIMELEC, ECOFIMÁTICA, ECOLEC, ECOLUM, ECO-RAEE’S, ECOTIC y EUROPEAN RECYCLING PLATFORM, en colaboración con la Dirección General del Cambio Climático y Calidad Ambiental de la Conselleria de Agricultura, Medio Ambiente, Cambio Climático y Desarrollo Rural de la Generalitat Valenciana. El Congreso que se celebrará en València es la continuidad de un camino que empezó en 2017 en Antequera, donde se celebró la primera edición.
El objetivo principal del Congreso es dar a conocer la situación actual de la gestión del RAEE en España, su importancia dentro de la Economía Circular y servir de punto de encuentro de todos los agentes para fomentar la colaboración entre todos ellos.
Una de las novedades de este año va a ser el desarrollo sostenible del evento, ya que se van a introducir criterios y buenas prácticas en materia de sostenibilidad, lo que permitirá reducir el impacto ambiental del acto en cuestión, entre otros aspectos. Además, el diseño de todos los aspectos relacionados con el Congreso redundará en numerosos beneficios ambientales, así como en la mejora de la imagen y de la proyección internacional del propio Congreso.
