Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Disappointed in the Carrot app since the relaunch/rebranding. Very few options are available for rewards. I miss being able to collect Scene points. My biggest complaint however, is the step counts. It only seem to record steps when it wants to. Some days it counts them all accurately, others it doesn't count any. I've tried re-synching my Google fit and tried reinstalling the app, but it is still inconsistant. Fix the bugs and add more reward options for a higher rating.
2 ★Fun idea and quizzes, and the app design is quite clean/easy to use, but the rewards are far inferior to the previous incarnation of Carrot. The highest reward exchange for More Rewards for example (which would likely take you a few months to get), is worth about 20 cents of groceries. Petro points slightly better, but still incredibly low. Considering the reward is the primary reason someone would use this app, the lack of actual reward is confusing. Raffles? No. Will update if it improves.
1 ★This app is useless. Some answers in the quizzes do not fully show in the little boxes. Some quizzes will not scroll so I can't answer a question if the page is longer than my screen. Though linked properly, results of my activities do not show up on the app. In spite of my regular feedback, as someone with a handicap, there is no provision to allow for my handicap. I was a great supporter of the prior app. I tried this one, I'm gone.
1 ★Update - they made a unilateral change and now require your phone number (which i bet they will sell/use for marketing purposes). If you don't provide it, you can't use your points.. I want to like this app. I like the idea of this app. But it's execution is terrible. Half the time it won't load. I have 1 friend who uses the app and we both get errors trying to add each other. (I posted this after multiple unhelpful exchanges with support)
3 ★It's a good idea, however the add I saw led me to believe I'd actually be able to get gift cards for places like Amazon however you use points to enter a draw. You can use points for to get petro points and save on points but I don't really use them. Would be better with more reward options. I wish the step counter was compatible with smart watch not just fitbit; I'll get 10000 steps on my watch but if I'm not carrying my phone the app counts much less.
5 ★Optimity is an app that is meant to help you consider ways that you can lead a healthier lifestyle. It reminds me daily that I need to be mindful of the small things I can do to reach my fitness/health goals. It also tracks my steps and rewards me with points or draw entries towards things like amazon gift cards and gas points. I would love to see the scene points option on here, like the original carrot rewards app offered. This app is not invasive (I haven't been disturbed by any adds, yet.)
2 ★Quizzes are great for learning. The app itself is glitchy, and doesn't offer much user control (cannot adjust step goal). The step challenge option is limited and not worth participating in, you can only challenge one friend and you can't end a challenge before the 7 days are up. Petro Points aren't accurately credited to account. Aside from using it to collect Save On or Petro Points, it's not very useful.
4 ★Update: I have noticed that it's not the app's issue for my problem below. It is actually Google Ad issue as I've encountered the same issue on other apps with Google Ads. Even though the issue is still there, rating for this app has been adjusted. 😁 Unable to double points because after watching the ad, I'm unable to exit from that screen. Otherwise, it's a pretty ok app. Extra points to get while you're doing your daily activities.
2 ★Not like Carrot. I used the carrot app for a long time and really liked it. I was sad to see it go but happy to hear it was being relaunched. However I find it's not as good. The goal is also stuck at 6k which is more difficult to reach during the winter and due to covid. Previously in Carrot, we could adjust our goals accordingly. Hoping this gets modified.
1 ★I tried using this app. I had nothing but problems. I couldn't verify my email so I could access the account information (my history, the rewards I could redeem, etc). A person contacted me (I contacted them first) to say they verified my email at their end, so I should be able to access everything. Didn't work. I told them that. They then told me to get the updated version. There was no updated version. Very disappointed in the whole thing. I deleted the app.
1 ★I was so excited to have this app again, but once I downloaded it I was just disappointed. I own a Samsung watch, but can't connect to Samsung Health to track my steps, rendering the app totally useless. Wasting points on a draw for a gift card is pointless. I don't collect Petro Points because I don't drive. I seems kind of odd that an app for being more physically active would partner with a gas station in the first place. What a waste of time.
1 ★Agree with others who've voiced the sync issues. It'll stop syncing for no reason and ask if you want to resync. Not only that but the app is excruciatingly slow. It takes 5-10 seconds every time I switch between menus or surveys. I've reinstalled the app several times, clearing my cache each time. Using a pixel 6 pro, on wifi or data it's the same. It never used to be so full of bugs but devs need to look into their "updates" before release.
