Haji dan umroh adalah salah satu dari lima prinsip (rukun) Islam yang wajib dilaksanakan sekali seumur hidup bagi yang mampu.Haji dan Umrah, Hukum keduanya adalh fardhu dan hanya dilakukan sekali dalam seumur hidup.

SYARAT WAJIB HAJI
Syarat-syarat (orang) wajib melakukan haji itu ada 7 (tujuh) yaitu
(a) Islam;
(b) bligh (cukup umur);
(c) Berakal sehat (tidak gila);
(d) merdeka (bukan budak);
(e) (bisa mengerjaka, yakni),
i) ada bekalnya (ongkos dirinya pulang pergi dan belanja untuk keluarganya yang ditinggal);
ii) ada kendaraannya (kepunyaan sendiri atau menyewa, bagi penduduk di luar kota Makkah yang jauhnya 15 farsakh atau lebih lebih).
(f) Aman jalannya;
(g) Bisa pergi (berkesampaian).
